I am currently experimenting with various flavors using my PV with a tank. No problems until yesterday that is.

Have been using the fruit flavors and switching up with no taste contamination issues until I decided to try a spicy cinnamon last night.

I have since changed the tank, but continue to get that cinnamon flavor (which I didn't even like) even though I've now ran thru almost a full tank of grape.

So beware, if you're new like me, that a strong flavor will remain in your PV long after you've vaped it or switched it out.

Just thought it was important enough to share with everyone.

Same can be said with cloves and menthol. Menthol especially, you never get rid of. You can switch menthol flavors on the same atty, but the menthol will always be there.

I was thinking it would be a matter of when the cinnamon flavor leaves, not if.

So I may never get rid of the cinnamon flavor in my PV???

A vivi niva with a metal tank is another way to do it. Cleaning and dryburning vivi nova heads gets rid of the flavor too.

Also one other thought.. some companies make "flavor cleaners" or "flavor erasers" and you run them through your carto a few times and it helps clean some lingering flavors. Might be a cheap option to try before buying a whole new tank and cartos.

The following is a link to an updated list of flavors/juices that have been reported to crack or melt polycarbonate plastic tanks or clearomizers: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/219179-lets-make-list-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos-33.html#post8158663

Materials that are safe substitutes for the polycarbonate are polypropylene plastic (frosted plastic, not clear), pyrex glass (preferred material), and stainless steel.

I have found a favorite with the IBTanked cartotanks. There is a review of these tanks here complete with pictures: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tank-reviews/349222-ibtanked-pyrex-glass-tanks.html For under $25 you can purchase a small quality pyrex glass tube with stainless steel endcaps that is safe with all juice flavors. These tanks come in two diameters (19 and 25mm) and in two lengths (35 and 45mm).

I have two of these tanks with stainless steel endcaps dedicated to a cinnamon flavor and mad murdock's radiator pluid, both known to crack plastic. No problems with either tank with these flavors.

I've been vaping the .... out of grape and apple, and I'm starting to think the cinnamon flavor is not going to go away.

Unfortunately, this is my only vaporizer......

Yeah, that is now your permanent cinnamon flavor atty. As Ray D pointed out, clove and menthol are also notorious for flavor "staining" attys/cartos/tanks for good.

LOL, and I speak from experience.

I got a pack of several juices as part of a giveaway. I was dripping them on my then favorite atomizer and enjoying most of them. Then I pulled out another bottle. It smelled GREAT! Almost like a pina colada. Drip, drip drip... MENTHOL! ...

I cleaned the atty. I soaked it in vodka. I cleaned it with denture cleaner. I soaked it in distilled water for days. I soaked it in everclear for 2 weeks, changing it out every 2nd day. I blew it out. I baked it in the oven to completely dry it out. I soaked it again. A month later? Still menthol.

That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if I liked menthol. Menthol and I do not get along. Oh well, lesson learned.

that works too,but only if you rebuild the head ,which means changing the silica wick

you now need to either rebuild that head or vape a similar juice..something like cherry
