venison is really expensive here, and we get limited choice on cuts
we pretty much only get options for rare steak type cuts, at around $15 lbs
but i've read about and seen other cuts used in slow cooked stews etc, which is more my thing
Sounds like farm-raised?

Thanks Corey, the patina on the second one is developing nicely, I'm gonna let that one continue for a bit longer :D I do love me some polished brass too tho, so the first one is getting some spa treatment this weekend :)

So are you off on Friday at work? Is the shop gonna give you a four day weekend ?

Yes, getting off at noon today and won't have to see the shop again til Monday morning :) I'm so looking forward to some time off, been crazy busy here the last few months.

Gonna be even busier when I get back, my dept got a new Matsuura Vertical CNC in yesterday, heres a few shots of the riggers unloading it and setting it into its new home.
