I disagree. I think informal, direct imports will be easier to get a hold of than US-made products. The US government can't shut down the off-shore manufacturers who will still have other markets they can legally produce for, and there will be plenty of off-shore middlemen willing to ship into the US. Risk of loss/confiscation will fall on the US buyer, much as it currently does, for example, for Canadians who order nic base from outside of Canada, or anyone ordering anything vape-related in Singapore. OTOH, people like Corey probably won't want to risk a raid, having their shop equipment confiscated, or being fined or locked up. :(

Will not comply!!! :-x

Yep,......fancy flashlights.....:thumb:

cept for da OCD ;)

I may try and get a Derringer and dremel the post and pin...saw a tutorial, looked to be fairly simple. My only issue is lack of a drill press, so I may have to try doing side grooves on the screw instead of center hole.

Your friendly local machine shop could be your friend. If they are worth a salt, they'd probably do it for next to nothing. Although it will work, wouldn't go with the slotting technic myself especially if it involves slotting the insulator.

you don't slot the insulator, you cut grooves in the screw :)

Figured as much, just that I've seen it done both ways tis all...;)

Still with that, you'll get much better drainage with the post screw bored out.

Maybe I will be able to find a shop local that has a press and will drill one out for me :p

Good news, USMC! :)

Another member has come forward to make sure you get a brassy derringer to go with your new mod. :thumb:

They'll be shipping it out to me asap, so I can get it in the box with the mod.

I love this place. :D

Your mods make people happy, and happy people help others be happy [emoji7]

that's something :D

Seeing USMC on all that brass is just....fitting.
That thing would look great with a brass and silver EGA on it :D
<---my avatar is an EGA for those who don't know ;)

I'll have to look to see if I can find a "conversion kit" of some sort :p
Drilling the derringers is pretty easy and straight forward. I'd recommend getting one with SS positive pin in case you're someone that doesn't want copper in contact with their juice. 1/16 drill bit.

Mark or scratch on the positive pin where it meets base of the atty. Using a vice press the center pin out. Drilling in place will melt the insulator. Drill straight through top to bottom. Then drill across at the mark you made earlier perpendicular to wire holes. Done.

Derringer center posts spin rather easily already. Lowering the amount of friction between the post and insulator could result in a headache every time you tighten your leads. Just saying

For those that haven't seen my thread and met my little brother, this is what an insane Marine looks like...

https://m.facebook.com/profile/picture/view/?profile_id=100010675126425

He's going to debut on the pro power lifting circuit in Ohio in the next couple weeks.

He's hoping to Officially break the Pennsylvania record for combined lift. (Squat, dead lift and bench press.)

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, that should be easy for him at this time.
