Congratulations glpsace! I just received my first CC mod pretty much the same way.

After reading through the many pages and seeing the glowing appreciation for the CC mod, I just had to get one. I've had mine for about a week and haven't put her down, I love it. The craftsmanship is second to none, the customer service that Corey provides follows the same path, simply amazing.

Here's a shot of my Brassy, starting to patina and it looks KILLER in person...

Hello friends,

A few weeks ago I was cruising the usual squonking FB groups and I stumbled into a beautiful mech that immediately caught my attention. So I started researching and ended here.

Have been reading ever since these pages (not all of them! But around 250) and talking to people who have, or had one in the past.

Meanwhile I have contacted Corey, who is just a wonderful and very patient man, and have been exchanging a “few” emails with him.

I´m more than ready, and excited, for my shortcoming CC mod. The only doubt that remains is that I haven´t decided yet if going for the 7068 or the copper.

Since I will be using the CC mostly at home, I don´t see the weight being a problem. As I´m a little lazy, I admit, that beautiful platina that the copper develops feels like a very handy bonus to me! Therefore, at this moment I´m more inclined to the copper one, but still have a couple of days until I must make up my mind.

Wanted to thanks also all those who had the patience and kindness to answer me, by pm or email, and after so much reading it almost seems that I got to know a few of you, despite being the first time that I brake my silence in this thread!

I´m really looking forward to be part of the family and would like to thanks especially Corey, but also everyone else, who have been posting for the last year those beautiful pictures that not only draw my attention but gave me the impulse to finally go for one. Like it is said, a picture is worth a thousand words… sometimes it is really true!

Thank you and Cheers.

Welcome aboard Glpsace! As a card carrying member of the "Trifecta" club and soon to be a " Quantenary" member, I can honestly say that you will not be disappointed either way...

For my copper tube mods I've found that a product called "Tarn X" that works wonders without the work of buffing or rubbing to remove the tarnish that builds up.

Just dip, rinse, and dry. Leaves the original brushed finish too ;)

Tarn X certainly works wonders, but it can be some very nasty stuff. Proper PPE is a must...

Don't know that I would let the insulators be exposed to it...:?:

Ah ha! You singled out Peng as the brightest among us, and sought her wisdom, concerning these mods! Wise move, G! ;)

for those who don't know me well, there is a reason I like bomb proof mods (and these CC mods totally fit the bill)........and this is the reason:

Facebook-20160229-051055.jpg

I need a mod that can handle the rigors of "barn life" without worrying that they are going to break on me. Very few mods fit in this category, but I have NO fear of bringing the CC out to the barn......the worst that will happen is some scratches, and those can be buffed out :D

So anyone lurking in the thread who is "on the fence" about them, if you can afford it, GET IT, cause you will NOT be disappointed.

Ok, enough raving from me for now (can't make any guarantees about tomorrow though ;) )
