Keep adding "character" to my 7068. The body without the top took a hard fall on tile (like, hairline crack in the tile hard) and the 7068 is barely worse for the wear. There was a little lip where it first bounced making the top not fit right, so I took some of the 3000 grit I bought for contact cleaning and it's nice and flush a again. I gotta be more careful, but I believe any lesser mod would have been done for.

Sorry to see your CC misfortunes so early on but thank you for battle testing the 7068 out for us all, nice to see it held up so well!

It always amazes me that when things fall like that it always manages to hit a corner where it will leave a mark vs falling flat.

The floor gets a pardon.

But you don't get a free pass.

Clean that thing. :D

Tough mods these are! I'm glad I have laminate flooring, except in the kitchen. I have yet to drop one on the tile.

Yep, tile floors are the enemy. I have similar "character" on both my OG copper and my 7075.

So, being that I can never leave well enough alone.....I rebuilt my coil today....did something fun this time.
I twisted 3 strands of 28 gauge SS430, then hammered it flat(ish)

Then coiled it on a 3mm mandrel...7 wraps, comes in at .28 ohms

Sorry it's hard to see the coil details...phone didnt want to focus any closer

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping ;)
