I got some 316ss wire today. I sure wish there was a way to get .5ohms or more with dual coils... I have been trying all day. Works great for single coils, but I have yet to find a way to do duals.

I swear that's what they look like. 13 wraps! That's ridiculous! And if you twist it, it's gets super springy. I tried straight 9 wraps of 28g, but it's a little harsh and not as much flavor/density as I got with twisted 30g kanthal. I may try 3mm id coils tomorrow, but I think I'm done for the night.

I will say that 6 spaced wraps of 28g 2mm id single coil in the Viper V2 is superb... definite improvement. Just wish the resistance wasn't so dang low.

Sorry I've been scarce this evenin'. When I got home from "work", I just jumped out the Jeep, and went straight to it...

It got good to me..... Didn't wanna take a break....

I wonder if there's medicine for that???

My newest coil creation....I shall dub it "vape squared"
2 strands of 24 gauge kanthal twisted, then hammered.......

(notice the spaces between the wires that formed after hammering)

Then, I wrapped 6 wraps on a 2.4mm mandrel....

due to the gaps and spacing of what used to be twists...it came out squared!
Looks really cool, and vapes great (.44 ohms)

It's tough waiting for your first CC mod and while I appreciate them, these pictures make it quite a bit more difficult.

I rarely do dual coils anymore (i.e. maybe once in the last year) and I'm mostly MTL but the Stumpy is about perfect for those cloudier days (i.e. like .6 for me)

9/8 wrap 26g SS 316L, 2.5mm ID, .5 ohms

I'm done with kanthal...game ooooover. Vaping unflavored shows the true nature of the beast...it imparts zero taste for sloth, whereas (it turns out) kanthal does. SS also is easier to work with, sturdier, holds form like a boss. Tastes clean. Produces great. Ramps fast. Kanthal is dead to sloth as is cotton. Man. My vape life is ever changing

ETA also, SS is noticeably smoother - significantly so - than kanthal. Less throat hit for Sloth, which is (IMO) nice.
