i'm jealous of your mexican population, although our strong ties with asian food probably makes up for it

i don't even know if the cantina in canberra was legit

aal has greek lamb to make up for it, and can travel to other countries nearby

lots of good sth asian and middle eastern here. Not so much japanese etc, we get the western versions somehow, but things like indonesian we have tons [could almost paddle there]

That's awesome. Thai? I love, love, love love love Thai food. Thankfully we do have a good Thai restaurant up here

Korean is amazing as well. My favorite restaurant in the US is a hole in the wall Korean restaurant back in east TN. God that place is/was amazing. Hope they're still there when I go to visit my family this fall. Been almost 3 years since I was there so who knows

Now I make do with Maudies because it's close and tasty!

Enchiladas Perfecto. You can get the George Strait Plate which is the same thing but, with a fried egg on top.

Back in the day,...when we didn't have a plasma table......I used to layout every fitting, by hand.... I really enjoy hand layout.... I assumed the new fancy robot might put me out of a job... Boy was I wrong. It just means we can produce a heckuva lot more stuff, in a lot less time. It just made us more competitive.

I assume you guys have one at your shop?

that lathe is cool, been wishing I could trade my 2 in for one something like that, what is it, 9" ?

LMS 3540 Bench Lathe.

It's a 8.5" x 20". Its a huge step up from the old one. The motor has exactly double the horsepower. 1000 watt brushless motor, power longitudinal AND cross feed, 220 pounds, where the old one was 90 pounds...

It should handle stainless a whole lot better than the old one... Lots o' SS buttons comin' up.

The old one was a 7" x 12". A damn good machine, for it's size. Here's a few comparison pichers...

Here's some shots of me gettin' it all setup....

I still have some minor adjustments to make, but she's gettin' there...
