Who'da thunk they'd be the model for goth and emo dress and makeup for generations to come?

I lived in Louisiana in the third grade and remember seeing this banner, bigger than life, on the side of a downtown building on the way to school...

There was no turning back...

They have had remarkable staying power, primarily because Gene Simmons is a better marketing/branding mind and showman than he is a musician.

Hello all! Popping in for a lil maintenance advice. My cc is at its 8 months mark, and I was thinking of doing some serious maintenance to it. Specifically, the surface between the body and the top section. I've been diligent about cleaning and applying no ox it, but as with most metals, I can see that the surface has tarnished somewhat, and would like to clean it up.

The plan I have in mind is as follows:

- clean off all juice and no ox it residue using IPA
- use a dab of simichrome paste to polish up the surfaces
- clean off with IPA
- reapply a fresh coat of no ox it

I have a couple of questions:
- does it sound like a decently good idea?
- would IPA be a good solvent/cleaner to clean off both the no ox id and the simichrome? If not, would acetone be a good idea? My primary consideration would be to ensure that the solvent/cleaner itself wouldn't corrode/oxidize the surfaces after I cleaned it

Bit of steel wool, 2 rubs and a quick exhale and good as new. But enough about me.

Acetone has an ability to melt plastic and that would worry me. IPA is alcohol i trust and not the India Pale Ale beer! I'm not sure i'd use No-Oxid between the surfaces - it's kind of thick for that? Nothing wrong with your plan other than that.
