Ummm, what does weekly maintenance look like?

Honestly, I just wipe mine with a slightly damp paper towel. I twist one up and jam it into the battery and bottle holes, with a good twisting action. That's really it for me. Of course, the only two I have are aluminum. one 6061, and one 7075. They are still bright and shiny on the inside, and under the caps. Mainly because I don't let any juice sit on the surface, inside or out.... EVER!:thumb:

I hardly ever put anything on the contacts. A little de-oxit gold, or no-ox-id, every once in a while...

Little alcohol, little scotch brite/light sandpaper, little alcohol, light coat of no-ox-id, wipe away the excess, leaving a very thin layer on the surface, Bob=uncle. :thumb:

ETA: The metal polish is a fine idea, as well. :)
Somebody called?

I roll up sum scotchbrite around a pencil to get at the bat & bottle holes

Spit in a tissue.

T

And that's on a good week

Actually, when I change batteries and top off juice, I do a quick wipe down of the top cap/body mating surface (rubbing alcohol and a qtip), hit the positive contact with the same and if it's been awhile I'll hit them with a light coat of no-ox.

Welp. Thanks everyone for chiming in.

Ended up giving my cc a niceeeee scrub with the scotchbrite, some nice layers of Ren wax

I did end up cleaning up the cap/body surface with IPA, some simichrome and finally some no ox id.

The simichrome does an excellent job of really cleaning the surfaces up I must say!
