@The.Drifter maybe you can whistle-blow some informations about how you make them:
What kind of material do you use?
What kind of lathe do you use? simple or professional one?
How did you polish the surface?
Do you slap newbies asking silly questions?

I posted something similiar to what your requesting on Peters thread here:
◙ Li’l PINCH (←thang) ◙ pdib (←maker) ◙ not sayin’ (←just sayin’) ◙ shuh-ZAM! (←hyperbole)

and the slots here:
◙ Li’l PINCH (←thang) ◙ pdib (←maker) ◙ not sayin’ (←just sayin’) ◙ shuh-ZAM! (←hyperbole)

and NO, I dont slap newbies asking questions :D

There's a small problem with this comparison. The aluminum and brass have V2 squonk holes, which leave a bit of material that the V1 squonk hole would remove, thus making them at least slightly heavier than V1 versions would be. Not sure how much difference it really makes. Would be interesting to know though. ;)

Thank you very much buddy, that helps a lot! Maybe this could be possible with non professional equipment.

And thanks for not slapping. :D

Fair point. :|

I'll be adding a Ti CC to the mix this evening. I'll weigh a V1 next to a V2. :thumb:

Perhaps we need to create a joint venture :D

We ARE brothers in stainless steel, after all.

Which is considerably thicker than blood AND water.

Or at least stronger

Yes bro. You pay for the lathe and I will do the caps.

Most folks'll tell ya to get two stand alone machines, if you want to mill, and turn..... I tend to agree with that, especially if you'll be using the machines a lot, and crankin' out lots o' parts. However, you can do a lot of really cool stuff with that setup. :thumb:

That is a pretty large machine, though. It's actually bigger than my new lathe. That, and the fact that it's 500 pounds.....You just wanna make sure you have the room for it, and a really solid base to set it on. :)

I've got a 15' X 30' shop in the back with a garage door on the front, room and a solid base are not a problem ;)

Im certainly not looking to go into mass production and would definately be open to less expensive options (if I were to fall down this here rabbit hole).
