After the discussions from the other night, I went ahead and scheduled a meeting for this afternoon with my cad guy. We drew up a few things, with the idea of incorporating the 10ml Cappy V4 bottle. You know,...the one I designed the 26650 around...

Anyways,.... the CCT (triangular ;)) design lends itself well to the larger bottle. @EddieAdams had a good point about nearly doubling the battery capacity, but not increasing the juice capacity... I see absolutely no reason not to do this. The overall size is nearly unaffected by this. It'll also lighten it up a bit. :thumb:

We played with the CCII while we were at it. Flat sides with the 10ml capacity looks really sweet. :)

Now,...that's not to say that the flask shape cannot be pursued... For the moment, however,....I'd like to roll with the ambi, 10ml, inline design.

Dang it Corey. I was sitting here thinking "I'm pretty happy with small collection, I might be done buying mods" and you go and do this.

Sign me up for a 26650 :D

Gotchu, my brother!

Oops, sorry about that.

Got a little drool on my iPad screen seeing pics of that 26650 CC.

Sorry, buddy. :D

Thanks, Classy! :)

I'm really liking the idea of all the larger battery capacity mods having the same 10ml joose capacity. :thumb:

Yep....knew there was a reason I bought those 10ml bottles

Noice. Looks as if most of the weight will be the cells.

Oh nooo!
The "Flask"-Version (CCF?) is beautiful :w00t:!! And I like the fact that a 26650 is working in it wich means higher capacity or higher amps. Maybe a better mobile version of the CCT when you need a more capacity compared to the single 18650s but you do not want to carry two 18650 in a mod (the weight is nearly the same but the two 18650 needs more space). For office/home use there is no way out to have two 18650 in a mod.

So I have to order a CCT and a CCF. Maybe I should advise my employer to send the paycheck directly to Corey.

Unfortunately, still no clear timeline on the production of the new styles. I'm at the mercy of the machine shop on the bodies and caps. They are covered up at the moment, so I'm having a hard time getting a straight answer on scheduling. I did get 'em to agree on doing 15 of each on the 3 new styles, so that's a pretty big deal. :)

First run will be 7068 aluminum. Depending on how that goes, we can look at different materials, as things progress.

if 6061 is standard, and 7075 [?] is harder... what is 7068?

It's "ultra-strength aluminum". Very hard and strong. Read about it here:
Tennalum® 7068 Ultra Strength Aluminum - Precision Armament

Ah I see Corey beat me to it! Somewhere earlier in this thread, Chowderhead explained that the reason kerakoted (sp?) mods were chipping is the hardness of the substrate. With 7068, you'll get the best resistance to paint chipping.

Still all in!
