@B2L, Be safe! Prayers for you and all the folk in the storm's path. So many have evacuated, yet the police and firefighters are sheltering in place. Many aren't sheltering at all.

I'm glad to be back up north, but am wondering whether any of the SC house will be there after the weekend. As Rossum said, we're blessed to have someplace else to live. Even so, quite selfishly, I'm hoping Matthew gets a hankering to head to England!

...I am moving in ^^^

I am not far from beckdg, just ever-so-slightly more to the west. You are more than welcome in my home any time. I live a bit further in the country. I enjoy hearing the owls talking to each other at night and watching them teach their young to fly as the sun sets. During the day I get to watch thousands of butterflies enjoying a drink from my field of wild flowers. One thing Tennessee has besides hills, mountains, waterfalls, and woodlands is abundance of lush greenery.

Tornados are normally about the only thing to worry about here since the geology and distance between us and New Madrid would supposedly make another big one there just a slight shake here. Haven't had a tornado that was much to talk about here in a long time. Back in the 80's my brother in law and I watched Dillons explode about 1/2 mile away and a little later a washing machine landed in the parking lot and rolled by us. We about killed each other getting back in the bowling alley and to the basement. It wiped out the neighborhood directly behind the bowling alley but only 1 death (a woman in a car). Now Joplin which is a little less than an hour down I44 toward Corey got hit hard a few years back. Anything that can move a hospital off its foundation is bad ....

I remember that. My Grandmother had been in Harris Heart the week before it hit. She kept calling and checking on the nurses that had taken care of her.

I'm OK, thanks for asking :)

We still have power

Roof still attached

Interior still dry

It's pretty nasty here right now, we're in the worst of it until about 5:30 or so. Just gotta hold on a little longer :thumb:
Sounds like you're faring pretty well Brian :thumb:
Wonder how Rossums property is doing? Looks like he got a fair amount of storm surge
