Just filled the last slot for November... :D

Oh WOW! My aluminium one is flying over the ocean as we speak and I have a sneaking suspicion that once it arrives and gets it's Cyclone installed that a Brass one will need to be ordered... Oh well it could then be a Xmas gift from Dad to Dad! ;-)

Alright,... so I weighed my personal 6061 mod, the one that is really close to the current spec... and it weighs 3.5oz nekkid. (without battery, bottle, or atty...)

The 7075, in the same config. is 3.6oz.

The brass one I'm doing came in at 9.6oz.

Speaking of which.....

I just saw that Tom picked up a Tormach PCNC 1100. :)
That's the same one Rob has, and that I've been looking at for a while now. Very nice piece of gear...

Good question, BJ. I'm not sure. More than two though... :D
You'd basically build jigs that would hold multiple parts, so every operation, you're doing several at once...
There'd be no more hand layout, or cap spottin'... All parts would be the same, and interchangeable...
It won't build 'em for you, by any means,... but it would take a lot of time out of the process, and make things more uniform...

There'd be a lot of time spent on the front side writing the g-code and building fixtures and such... but once that's done,... the sky's the limit.... ;)

The end result would be, less time spent, so lower prices, for sure....

The CNC might make em fatster but it could not make em any better.

Thanks, Loop! :)

So, let's see, 10k, 4 mods p/week x $400= $1600 p/week, have it paid off before Xmas! :w00t:

When you put it like that,..... it sounds so easy..... :D

Hello Custom Classic and fellow enthusiasts, greetings from Lester from Toronto, Canada.

The brass has a good weight feel in the hand. Not a cumbersome heavy, but oddly enough is a comfortable weight. This is coming from a petite lady. It was rather shocking when I held an aluminum in hand after using the brass beauty for a couple of weeks.
