Totally agree. why ceracote a beutiful mod made out of high quality aluminium or brass. It's like ceracoting silverware.I'm a fan of the bare metals, personally. If you get a scuff or scratch, you can just take a fine scotch brite or bear-tex pad, and make it look like new again in minutes. Not so much with coated metal.
Funny you should mention anodize, Ross. Element and I were discussing that very thing, not long ago. The problem I think we'd have with that is, I have to press the magnets in pretty early in the process, before I do final shaping and such... I don't think the mags would tolerate the anodizing process very well. I could be wrong though...

Could you use some temporary dowel pins in place of the magnets while doing the final shaping?

Just a thought, drill the magnet holes a little undersized, use a roll pin to hold the halves lined up for shaping and then open them up for the magnets?I've considered that. I'd need them to fit tight. Almost like a press fit, but still be able to remove them. Last thing we need is for a cap to go flying across the shop while shaping....
I'll have to give it some thought. I'm not saying I'd cry,..... but I'm not saying I wouldn't either....

I got my CC Brass today, not much of a picture taker. But it is all quality and stunning. I am so glad I have another one on order. CC you should be proud of your work. I just can't say enough about the craftmanship. Thank you so much.

I'm a little confused though.... What 4 pieces? I've dropped mine several times, and have yet to have the cap come off???
How high of a drop? Onto what?
