Hahahah South Park is actually understatedly clever. They have an uncanny knack for mocking the crap outta some really stupid things here in the states.

But anyways

I finally got down to sanding off the coating at the base of Reo grand, where the spring sits on.

I've been doing everything I possibly can to increase the performance, especially for lower resistance build. So glad I won't have to worry about this once my cc comes in.

You haven't been around for the fuse mod . Best thing since sliced bread ... (for a Reo)

kiwi, I've done that to about every Grand I've had. I traced around the spring plate with a dental pick then only removed the coating under the plate. Also tried soldered the spring to the spring base, the improvements were minimal with the solder.
Someone with a 3D printer should make something that holds a fuse and uses the stock screw .

Good hijack! :D

The fuse mod is great for the Reo. Mundy came up with a great solution. It's the one I used...

It worked great. :thumb:

I have a 10amp in my dibi. I don't understand how, but it runs my 0.25ohm coils okay.

Pffft...

Needs a pos. contact with twice the surface area at the contact point.

Needs a solid negative contact.

THEN and only then will the grand perform as it should.

I've done the upgrades and mods. Marginal improvment at best. Still eats through pos. contacts and leaves arc pits in batts.

Take a piece of 0.025" copper sheet. Score and snap it to size. Fold over one end for a contact. Drill a hole in the other end for connection. Put some shrink tube over the length. Install.

Notch out the nylon cover to allow your pos contact through.

Drill and taper a 3mm hole below center of battery.

Install 8mm M3 flat head screw and 2 M3 nuts.

.0025? Not .025? Seems thicker than .0025... Just wondering.

Fortune favors the Bottom Feeders.
