The smell of salt water is something I don't think I could do without for long. Fresh water beaches aren't the same.

Totally an Ocean guy here. My little cottage in RI is our weekend home away from home from May - October.:thumb:

@Aal_

hmmm . . . it appears that dimethylsulphide is produced by planktonic algae in sea water (which oxidizes in the atmosphere to form a sulphate aerosol).

So, let's call it "saltwater blackspot", shall we? :D

. . .. or see if anyone's been hangin' around here with plankton on their shoes . .. .

(I know, Aal_, I know . . . you don't live near the ocean, . .. . in Greece . .. . but then maybe it's smog-related-Greek-citymouse-blackspot)

you're crazy man. Stop blaming everything on the ocean ...

So I was thinking my OG copper CC was hitting a bit weak. Pulled the cap, and sure enough, a bit of a black spot on the positive contact. No big surprise really since this mod runs a Nuppin with duals netting 0.5 ohms. Put a bit of Simichrome on the end of a Q-Tip and went to work on it. Followed up with a piece dry paper towel. Black spot gone. The contacts on the battery weren't very shiny either so I did those too. Put it back together and....

No real improvement. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot! :confused:

So I took the battery (an older HE2) and popped it in the charger (VP1).

2.77V. OK, that explains it! :lol:

Normally, I always refill my juice bottle when I change the battery. This lets me use the juice level as a sort of fuel gauge for the battery. But I re-wicked this atty recently, and I like to break in a new wick at a bit less than full power, so I think what happened is that I filled the bottle but didn't change the battery. :facepalm:
