So I was thinking my OG copper CC was hitting a bit weak. Pulled the cap, and sure enough, a bit of a black spot on the positive contact. No big surprise really since this mod runs a Nuppin with duals netting 0.5 ohms. Put a bit of Simichrome on the end of a Q-Tip and went to work on it. Followed up with a piece dry paper towel. Black spot gone. The contacts on the battery weren't very shiny either so I did those too. Put it back together and....
No real improvement. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot!
So I took the battery (an older HE2) and popped it in the charger (VP1).
2.77V. OK, that explains it!
Normally, I always refill my
juice bottle when I change the battery. This lets me use the
juice level as a sort of fuel gauge for the battery. But I re-wicked this atty recently, and I like to break in a new wick at a bit less than full power, so I think what happened is that I filled the bottle but didn't change the battery.
