Do a search for "outtag grip bracket". It comes up as an add-on item. Other brackets may work depending on the length of the bracket. This one will require longer screws to mount it, but others may require different parts.

This is exciting...with hundreds of bike miles lying ahead this summer, I've been looking for something like this. Great idea

Smart move Beck!
i've always bought Smurf gear that is similar to mine because if i spend north of $400 on a mod for myself and then insisted she stuck to using a Dripbox, she'd make my life a misery very quickly!

Since i have to do all the mod maintenance and coil building around here, i'm rather pleased she wanted a CC mod, because it's been completely trouble free with just regular cleaning.

Exquisite taste,.............Smurf haz it!!!

You're too good to her, Trunks! :D

Finally got a decent bike, my first in about 20 years. I bought my son his first real bike last year and now we go out a lot. Problem is, my standard kydex case is felt lined and has a clip that's not really biking friendly (for me). This means that even with the Thump, the CC is constantly covered in juice when bouncing about in my pocket. Hence this idea.

Yep, if I'm not wearing a particular pair of pants that have an inner pocket within a pocket, I get juice all over the place. Soon it'll be too hot for pants (or rather, warm enough to wear shorts!). I have a little velcro saddle bag thing but it's big for a CC + only mounts under the saddle if I want it to stay upright. Your idea is much better ;)

Hadn't owned a bike myself in about 10 years. First decent one I've owned...loving it. Biking is a lot of fun.

Imagine driving down a country road and suddenly a sloth goes by on a bike.

When i was at university i used to cycle everywhere with a friend of mine that took it all too seriously. He bought a bike with a carbon-fire frame that weighed as much as a cornflake and he had special shoes that clipped into the pedals and so on.

For the same money, i bought my first motorbike and never once envied him having to pedal everywhere. From there started a lifelong obsession with idleness that i still cannot shake off.

Thankfully, I'm too fat for carbon fibre. That allows me to forgo the special shoes and grape smugglers that those guys wear. Id love a motorcycle, but in the end, I want to reduce my carbon footprint {translation: need to lose some pounds ;) }

The bike did end up costing about a grand all together though. It was a birthday gift from the wifey and my in-laws. It's a nice hybrid bike with disc brakes. Perfect for commuting the 10 miles to work - eventually. Thankfully the bike and this job just sort of showed up together. I used to have to drive 4 hours a day to two separate plants for my company. THAT sucked.

Never tried SS but I have some 28g and 26g in flight. Can someone with experience tell if I can make contact coils like with Kanthal? Or is spaced coils the thing here? I am going to try TC again after giving up after the first tries with nickel.
you can do contact coils just fine, plus claptons, twisted wire, etc etc.
You can dry burn (though you should keep it short...don't get it too hot, starts to change the make up of the wire)

I've been throwing mine in my hoodie pocket. It occasionally stays upright-ish, but usually just dumps juice in it. I thought about stowing it in a bag, but I like to take a couple vapes on the fly as it were, and that wouldn't work.

Ive only had this bike for about 3 weeks now, and I too am loving it. I remembered the countless miles I put on my bike when I was young, and am sort of re-living those days. I realized how much I missed it.

Regarding the actual bike mount- make sure you get a mount that will actually fit. The one I got is dirt cheap and it sort of shows. It almost didn't fit my handle bars as there is a swell in them that doesn't leave a lot of room. The others like topeak or whatever have a long mounting bracket for a bottle cage that could be customized with a drill to mount a standard coffeebum case with the clip removed. I just went with this because it's what I bought. Let us know what you come up with!

If I do see a sloth riding by, do I need to give the special Rayonati handsign? I'm only a probationer, but I hope to be an acolyte one day.
