Sanity, for sure! I think that was the first to go... :D

I believe what he's gonna do is put a nut/washer/series of washers.....under the head of the screw. If any of the threaded portion of the screw ends up sticking out of the bottom of the mod, he'll just sand it down a little. The screw head will be the contact point.

....and... don't you go blaming us for your loss of sanity. You were that way long before we met you ;)

Hey y'all, been offline for quite a while. But still vaping my brassy like I stole it. It never fails me! My sunbox E8 gets worked up sometimes, it well jump in and out of Atty lock and TC... But my brassy, just keeps on chuggin !!

Gonna need to add a second CC soon... Just not entirely sure what metal. I always wanted copper, but I'm hard on mods and the copper would collect dings worse than my brassy.. Maybe I should get 7075 or 7068? I know Corey's out of aluminum but I can wait :)

Here's a manly pic.

Also, here's some of the nasty dings.. There is probably almost half a dozen like this in other areas.. I'm rough on mods, guess you can say I have "butter fingers"

Still hits like a train though :)

Watcha think? Would copper be way to soft for me?

Hey RG, good to see ya pop in :)

I'm sure others will chime in but I'm thinking maybe aluminum may be the way to go

Love my copper though, and I'm sure Corey could restore its youthful appearance if you ever wanted to go that route.

However, chicks dig scars ;)

Hey, RG! :)

Nice pichers, my man! :thumb:

I've actually been thinkin' about doin' a batch of 6061. Couple o' three reasons..... First, I could offer 'em at a lower price, seein's how the material is less expensive, and they cost less to machine.

Secondly, I carry a 6061 and a 7075, everyday, everywhere I go. The 7075 ends up with the dark spots on it, after a few weeks, where the 6061 has never had a dark spot, in a year of carrying it. I assume it's because the 6061 has a very low zinc content, while the 7075 and 7068 have a much higher amount of zinc.

Third, 6061 is much harder than brass or copper, while being almost 1/3 the weight.

I got a quote today for the heavy machining, and it looks like I'd be able to offer 'em at around $350, (that's tree fitty for my southern brothers and sisters...) :)

I'd need to do a batch of 50 to get the price down where I need it to be. So,... if there was enough interest, I could get that ball rollin'...

Anyway,...I was just kickin' the idea around a little....

Ummm, that would actually be tree fiddy sir :pervy:

You drive a hard bargain, B......

I guess I could go tree fiddy.... :D

I'd be in for a 6061! Absolutely. I will own a BrassC at some point, but as #2 a second aluminum would probably see more use. And $350 would be an absolute steal!

I'll make a note! Thanks, jwat! :thumb:

I'm not sure... 6061 or something would be cool... But that copper... I remember back when copper was a dream (excluding Ross) and I always wanted copper.

Your right about the weight though Corey.. Aluminum would feel like I'm holding nothing. At times, the brassy is hard to pocket. Especially with it being summer now, if I wear basket ball shorts the brassy nearly pulls them down to my ankles when I pocket it. Haha!!

So you have no aluminum at all? If you had 7075 I may be interested

If you're going 7075 I would consider 7068;) That's if Corey does anymore:shock: I have both and truthfully the 7068 may be a little more durable. However Corey raises a valid point about the lower zinc content of the 6061. Neither of mine have darkening issues but some here have "special" body chemistry:lol:

<raises hand>

I can oxidize most any metal. I have a TRA reo that looks like it has a nuclear shadow of my hand on it. I've referred to it as the Shroud of Papa and @Henry Etta has experienced similar discolouration with her mods. We're... shrouders.

Aluminum is pretty resistant. Copper or brass? Fuggeddaboudit.

Light research suggests it's from sloughing salt through sweat, and if I'm being honest it's what kept me from getting a CC for so long.

Buuuut... Hank inspired me and her perseverance in finding a workable maintenance program gave me the courage to grab a pair and get one.

Don' let me talk you outta copper, my good man. :) It's a fine choice. :thumb:

I am currently out of any type of aluminum tho, and need to make a choice on which material to go with. I figured it might be a good opportunity to bring something a little more affordable to the market. :)

Dunno about the 7075, but if you look back a couple pages, you can see what my 7068 did to the tile floor and what little damage it took :D
7075 will ding too:

No mind you, that pic was taken at an angle which accentuates the ding. In real life, you don't see it unless you look for it.

Well since Beck wants 27 of 'em and a few others are in as well, you should have no problem selling fifty mods. :D
