CC mods + Harley Davidson + Blue Ridge Mountains = my catharsis. It really does not get much better.

I haven't gone on a ride for a really long time !
The last was when we were still in California...a late spring day trip up to Big Bear.
Stayed for dinner and froze our tails off coming home - it got really cold

The Blue Ridge Highway is a nice ride. Especially the southern part of VA IMO.

Did they start clearing the scenic overlooks again? When I was young the overlooks were majestic, but when my Dad and I returned several years ago (maybe a decade) they were overgrown and was told they couldn't clear them anymore. Many fond memories where my Mother was raised close to Grandfather mountain.

Most of them are cleared and have been for quite some time. Others, not so much.

Elevation at that overlook is ~3000ft.
