I went with my standard 26g NiChrome 80, 7 wrap duals, 2.5mm ID, wicked with Rayon. It's meh....

When I get time, I'm gonna try the turbo coil, and see what's what.

Yep! What Brian posted was a link to the relevant post by turbocad6, introducing the turbo coil for the Nuppin'.

That is the coil I use for nearly all my Nuppin. I position the air holes in the cap to hit the sides of the coil. I get dense, flavorful vapor. I also have a two-strand all twisted 30g in one Nuppin that I run unflavored in but the coil and air inlet positions are the same.

I cannot get NiChrome right in the Nuppin', either. I went back to Kanthal with better results.

Edit: Your wick tails look a bit long. Wouldn't hurt to try trimming those down and see if it helps.

Regular, non-fused claptons are so easy to make I don't even feel the need to buy them, TBH.

What's that measure out at, roughly 0.25 ohms? That strikes me as too aggressive for a single, 2mm dia coil.

But that might just be me, 'cause I'm something of a tootle-puffer..

Regular, non-fused claptons are so easy to make I don't even feel the need to buy them, TBH.

Been liking so far. $6.95 for 10 coils, can't beat the price! I could never make them or have the patience to get as perfect as the premade ones I got. Got the .75 ohms single running in my Nuppin', 10 coils going to last a long, long time!

Aggressive is a good description.

I'll check it this evening.

I did notice the heat factor. Got the Nuppin very hot to the touch and as you mentioned stayed hot for awhile! Seems like they also take a bit longer to fire up. seems like it takes a hit or 2 to get cookin' then produces big flavor and clouds but only after getting "warmed up"!
It seemed like my parallel & twisted Kanthal coils fired up more quickly and cooled down faster.
