...that's why I had to get away from California

Most I have seen were setup the same as yours and the first comments usually were something to the tune of the airflow left something to be desired and they expected more form it. Not sure what more they expected cause the airflow was basically cut off by the huge cotton roll that completely blocked it off, (insert common sense here), and then the atty was listed in the classies... The only build that makes sense for the atty are the dual verticals that Nathan has been using in his, imo anyway, but to each his own... I'm sure Ohman didn't design they atty around verticals, but they just make sense to me.The way the wick is setup, the air goes around the tails and up through the coil. The tails do impede on the airflow some but not too much. The vapor isn't really that hot, much less than it looks. I've tried the askewed coil but didn't like the wicking. I also get no leaking out of the air-holes like the other builds.
For the last 15+ yrs I was in California I was always amazed when I turned on the news and they said one had just happened... I think the last one I felt prior to leaving in 2012 was the Northridge quake in 1994. They just happened so often and after a while they just weren't noticeable at all to me...leaves you feeling a bit jumpy huh !

Scare the bejesus out of me.... We've had 2 come through town in the last 3 yrs and everytime we get the slighest storm in the area I'm on edge it seems.
I had the same problem with a lot of atty's and leaking out the AFC, but its because I use RxW exclusively. The only atty's I have found so far that I've been able to control leaking are the 454 V2 and the O-16's that I run now. I run verticals in the 454 V2...
Maybe you should ask Nathan what his secret is. I've never heard him mention any leaking with his. Great looking coils btw...
I run my O-16's with a center coil between the posts. No problems with leaking. I used to run duals with coils offset on each side with only one side angled down to the drip well and wicked with the tail only coming out of the angled side down to the drip well. The other side of the coil was snipped off almost even with the end of the coil.i run RxW as well and typically on either Dark Horses or Velocities (so basically big cloud chasing atties with lots of air). i've found that by leaving one end of the wick a bit longer and touching the deck, they won't leak, because that tail 'mops up' any oversquonks.

I run a single, parallel, 28 gauge at an angle. Can't remember the wraps or the ohms (I think 5 and .3ish)What build do you like using in your narda? Ive been trying diff builds but havnt found the one yet. Where can i get a clear cap?
