Have I mentioned I love my CC squonkers? They fire every single time with absolutely zero button mashing and minimal maintenance - just keep the +/- contacts and the body/cap join clean and add a little touch of no-ox-id. They fit my hand perfectly, though I know one or two misguided people find them a little small (I'm looking at you,
@Doffy !).
I do recommend the new 510 and the silver -ve contact, though I haven't yet bothered swapping out either in my older CCs with the original 510/brass contact.
I have a mixture of Italian bottles and Cappy V4 BFX in my CCs. To be honest, I'm not convinced the Cappies are worth the extra money. They are beautifully soft and perhaps will have a longer life - I don't know. However, I find the half-turn lid on the Italian bottles makes topping up juice really easy and relatively mess-free. With the Cappies, they are so soft that when I'm screwing on the lid I often squonk accidentally and end up with a bit of a mess. I am a bit of a klutz, though, so your mileage may vary
Al 6061: The aluminium blackens fairly easily in my hands - though I think this varies from person to person. When I feel like giving it a bit of a shine, I use the grey Scotchbrite pads (7448) and Simichrome polish. If I'm feeling really energetic, I add a coat of Renaissance Wax. But balancing the maintenance is the feather-light feel of the aluminium. It's perfect for in the pocket when out gardening, for example.
Brass: Heavy (relatively speaking), and requires maintenance as for the aluminium - though I think the brass is actually easier to shine up. But it is just gorgeous, with or without patina. My sexy CC with its sinuous V2 squonk hole
SS: I've alway loved mods with 'heft', and was absolutely thrilled when Corey decided to do SS - and am still thrilled. It's satisfyingly heavy, but without the maintenance

I do have maroon Scotchbrite to help with fine surface scratches, particularly on the base, but I almost never bother. Just a wipe over with a damp cloth. The perfect mod for sitting out on the deck with a glass of red.
Ti: The perfect balance of a feeling of 'heft' vs actual weight for out and about - and, like the SS, almost no surface maintenance. I'm in heaven
