Nice picher, D.
You're going to LOVE it! Only one problem: 5 minutes after you start using the SS, you'll want another CC. It just goes that way.Bought a SSCC on the classy' today. I've been following for a little while, a SS is what I decided I wanted & sure enough, a great deal appeared in the classifieds. Couldn't resist. Now I just can't wait to have it in hand.
Damn... i think i wait for the 26650 version. Looks pretty practical! Make it 24mm compatible
My highest respect for your work - those CCs look neat as a pin!

I think you are right!

IMO it's pretty terrible for MTL on a mech, or at least I could never find the right coil. It's a little better at MTL on a regulated squonker because you can just build with 28awg without having to worry about resistance. For me, on mech, it really shines between .3-.4ohms. On most attys I'm around .7ohms and I got the 'Cake for the occasional days I feel a bit cloudier. And because it looks nice with the Ti CC. Honestly mostly because it looks nice on the Ti CCSo, Surprise! (Ok. Not.) A Ti will soon be heading my way. Will someone who has the Pancake please tell me a bit more about it? I'm remembering that it's a wee bit airy (for a MTL-er like me), but I thought it would work for restricted DL. Is that right? How about flavor? Is there a particular build that works good-better-best? Maybe one that doesn't involve a drill and 10,000 inches of wire? I'm not a terribly clever bird; twisted coils are about as fancy as I get. Thanks!

Thanks, Peng! Your explanation makes perfect sense. Ima head over to Brett's FB page and check them out.My recommended build for a MTL'er is dual coils, single strand or twisted (your preference). Tilt the coils so the end of the coil closest to the center of the atty are upward, with the end of the coil closest to the outside edge dipped downward. Hope that makes sense. I did take a separate piece of wick, dampened it with juice, and placed it where it would partially close off the air. It worked very well for restricting the air. I discovered that I actually preferred it without the extra wicking bits.
Wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble. Classy may be giving out demerits.
I'm sure there's not a few of us, me included, who thank you for removing that temptation.
Congrats!
