Hey man I hear yah and I agree but I've had a few customers ask specifically for this bottle to fit a mod so I kinda had to get a few and man let me tell you, they're worth every penny. They make the whole mod that much higher quality.

The bottles are the cheapest component in a high end mod, everything else could be the best materials and silver contacts and the finest craftsmanship, these bottles are high end in there construction and make the whole mod that much better, and they make everything else look and feel cheap in comparison, plus they work awesome and they look like they'll almost last the lifetime of the mod :)

Once you get used to a silicone bottle, plastic just feels like crap in comparison. you feel it in the use of the mod. I've had guys tell me they won't use a mod that won't fit these bottles and honestly I completely get that now after using them, they're really that good. The $20 stings for a few days yeah but past that they are a pleasure to use
Is that $20 for one bottle?!?!?

When buying in bulk it's less, think it was $65 for a pack of 4

Consider what you spend on an atty or some drip tips, we got spoiled because BF started out with 59 cent bottles, then someone went and put a high end stainless steel cap on a 59 cent bottle and yeah it was better but this... Whole other league

Knowing I would fall in love with them is precisely why I am avoiding purchasing them. I have more than a few mods and I would hate for any of them to be unloved because they don't sport a $20 bottle.

That's my story.

Cool, thanks for finding this! I'll have to get a couple when I can. Although, I've never had trouble with the 510's I have in it and am accustomed to adjusting as needed when changing atties. Does this one make it easier to adjust?

For me, yes, it is easier to adjust. If you are someone who frequently changes atties, I would say it is worth it.

Whew! That's alotta posts to go through, all at once... Looks like I picked a helluva day to be super busy, and not have time to check in...

Thanks for the help on the 510 info, G1W. :)

I have to agree on the SB BFX bottles. They really are worth the price, to me at least... I do wish they were cheaper, or they had a better bulk discount, though. :(

@pwheeler , the new 510 does make things a little easier to adjust for different atties. The o-ring groove is a nice feature, as well. I'm running pretty low on 'em, at the moment... I need to get some more from Peter, pretty soon. You can buy direct from him, as well. :thumb:

At first, I was taking a few thousandths of an inch off the outside of the flange to make sure they fit into existing mods. I learned pretty early on that this was overkill, and completely unnecessary. The ones Peter has are a direct drop in on the CC's. :thumb:

Can I just say how happy and lucky I feel to have gone through the effort to get an SS CC? It's been dropped once (dented the hardwood, not a scratch on the mod) and even with daily, heavy use, still so smoov  (where's the seem dude?!)

Corey can attest to the condition of 6061 when he got her. I def needed SS from the get

Hope inswva doesn't mind me quoting a post of his from a different thread.

Pancake pics.

Here are some blatantly stolen build pics from the FB group. The options with this thing are nuts.

Waiting on my TiCC to try out my Pancake. Very exciting!

In the meantime, .5 Clapton vertical in my Nuppin atop copper CC.

2 coils, long-wise so they lay in the channel, tilted so the edge closer to the outside are pointing slightly downward and the edge towards the center are upward. Don't do single wick through both coils. Each coil gets its own wick.

You either need to build really low, or build high (ohms). 0.4 and below or 1.0 and higher. I personally, found the atty heated up a bit much for low builds, so I went for the 1.0-1.2 range. It works very well for me. 26gauge.

The many ways you can build on it, vertical, horizontal, stove-top, 8 coil, etc.... are daunting. The one I mention was someone else's suggestion and it works great for me.

Ditto Peng ... I have a ton of extra bottles for the CC's, Pinches, and Reo's.
Not going to even try the new stuff.
I may like it, and then where does that leave me with all the "backup" I have :(
Need to use and stick with the stuff I have. :p
As long as I don't try it, I won't know what I'm missing

Thank you, penguiness, this will be the first build I try on my Pancake.
