Those insert things look perfect. I'm the one who sold too soon, but it's ok. I've got plenty of attys. If I see a good deal somewhere, I may give it another go. I really was hoping the GP would be a better version of the Snapdragon (actual post holes and not so phallic looking). I also wasn't a fan of the integrated drip tip.
The pro dripper may be more to your liking. Its coming soon. Different posts for more options. Different drip top config. Inhate that you sold yours and did not get it working as you like because it really is very versatile but you have to dial-in the right building and it builds differently than many things plus without the AFR I can see why a traditional MTL vapor would not care for it. It's just such a bummer that you didn't have the time to kind of work it out because it really is one of the most flavorful
devices I've ever used. If you tell me what your
vape style is I'd be interested to know if I can come up with a build that is suited. Like what kind of
tanks do you use and what resistance/power settings? As for the drip tips
Drip tips matter a lot
You've seen my picture recently with the mark hugs drip tip - the one from the chalice and gem. It fits really well with the cc. I actually own one of the limited-edition titanium Jim tanks so if I buy a titanium cc mod I have a titanium drip tip to go with it. At any rate both of he gp drip tips are good. The specs or misleading as they cite board based on the rolled lip and it's not all that clear that is the case so the majority of the internal bore is quite slim and it does change greatly the feel even with the short one. Unfortunately for some reason GP decided not to show the drip tips inserted in anything other than the very base model dripper which I think is a mistake because that's probably the least attractive combination. For me new tips look good in the heron v2 the spheroid and the dripper with the stainless steel accent and I actually don't like the complete plastic tank without stainless accents and any drip tip I feel like if you get the one without accent you basically are resigned to using the integrated drip tip. Here are some quick snaps to show what i consider to be good options aesthetically and function. Of course the one that is the most different is also the one that tastes the best and makes the best density which is the long GP Amber tip
Two gp tips. Kayfun v5 tip and the mark buys charm tiny tip (svoemesto puzzle tip can be configured similar height and a tiny 3.8mm bore)
The longer one is aesthetically a bit long at 18mm But it is one of the very few tips I've used that try impacts flavor fir the positive significantly and thats why they have the rolled lip. It changes the air pressure and as a result most vape qualities are improved for mtl. Im going to order at least one more if each sjze as theyre so good - which was unexpected based on the photos which never show it on the stainless steel accented dripper or any other device aside from the base model plain Jane and based on the specs listed. Here they are on the dripper. They work very very well with the heron.
Rebuying options and notniversoending on it
I actually have the single coil flavor cap (black stainless)but I'm actually predominantly using dual foil builds - did you try that cap as its meant mire for mtl? The single coil cap and an afr is a very very flavorful MTL Vape that's probably the right configuration for what you're looking for.
Unfortunately they decided not to make any more of those caps so what is out there is it and they are sold out everywhere so you can no longer buy them. Also it was another 50% price to get it. I've asked if they're going to sell the base separately and I know many others have as well. believe they will. Given the GP always listens to their customers I would expect to see them offer that sooner than later. If you sit tight until that time you can buy a base and I'll pass along my single coil At cost to you because I think you would really really like it and I probably will not end up using it that much- so it seems a waste for a limited edition piece to be sitting in a drawer. Buying the base separately and getting the fksvor cap From someone who has one allows you to pay the same price as everyone buying the standard kit rather than having to shell out another 50 or $60 for the extra cap And then not use the dual coil model.
So you have an option coming up soon I would think to try it again in a different configuration. Just let me know if you want that flavor cap ar cost and you're welcome to it. it's been used twice and is in like new condition plus insanitize anything going out. as I said I don't believe you can get them anywhere but you may want to check ought Vape - they were down to a couple. I got the last black with stainless accent, but if you'd rather buy a brand new one if available thats the only place i know had limited stock - a couple weeks ago
BE PATIENT
In don't know how familiar you are with GP if this was your first product or if you know their practices in customer service well. But if you ever get another new device from them that recently released don't ever sell it quickly because they take feedback from customers and very often release additions to that device or revisions and just ship small parts out to customers whether it's a longer screw or in this case the AFR inserts it's not uncommon for them to offer slight changes or add on's if customer demand is there. And they do so at no charge to register owners so always wait a short while at least to ensure they haven't started working on something to address whatever concerns you may have. The only other company I've found with customer service as good as GP is right here in this thread the cc mods and Corey have the joint top customer service I've experienced in the Vapin community
FYI GP HERON OWNERS
*By the way
heron v2 afr for the v2 are being released in ancouple weeks. Reducing the heron from 3mm to 2mm like the spheroid - somifnyou own a heron v2 take notice. How long has it been since they release the Heronview two and they're still improving it for their customers based on feedback. I have been making my own PTFE reducer for the ...... since day one as I'm well aware in tank systems anything above 2 mm exit for air underneath a coil negatively impacts every single quality of my beeping experience for MTL. The upside is PTFE is very cheap at five dollars for a couple of meters and you can easily cut to size the downside is it's nowhere near as easy to pop in and out without that lip that the official one has though it does have good thermal properties just like peak or at least very close I think the melt point is 475°F
I hope some or all of this post was helpful considering I broke Tampa talk like 10 times and had to make sure I was copying and pasting as I go along because it's so damn long. I really hope that you're able to find a way to give it another chance or maybe the pro version and if you want to do the flavor Let me know. I believe strongly it's worth giving another shot especially when I see it mounted on top of the cc considering how white the mod is and how light that RDA is it's a perfect combination for the pocket in my opinion and it looks super smart
Sorry for the typos I've been sitting here typing this on my phone for so long and craning my neck I just can't go through and fix anything else right now but I will come back to tomorrow/later today and edit to fix and clean this up
