Yep, it's something that's never been standardized around the world. Heck, there's a couple of US states that refuse to do this seasonal "adjustment".

Yes, we have one province that similarly ignores DST. Interestingly enough, my wife is currently in Arizona (one of the states that skips it), and specifically went there to avoid the time shift as it does her head in for a week. She'll come back on Friday with no ill effects.

I got no problem rocking the lawn mower mod as a restoration prodject if you ever actualy find the rest of it my freind. I lost another not to be named high end squonk. Out of my pocket while in my boat trout fishing in a 100 plus feet of water never to be seen again.
