Scientists ask UN health group for strict rules on e-cigarettes

"One signatory did not want to be named, explaining in an email to Reuters that "I and my family have been receiving abuse and threats" over his critical stance on e-cigarettes.
The email added: "my daughter has been subject to online abuse" over the issue."

Big tobacco, Not MRSA, Is the Real Problem With E-Cigarettes
"The original sin is the deliberate, heartless, sinister dishonesty from Big Tobacco as it pretends to be a public health advocate, all the while running as long as it can and as far as it can with a new product it knows can only harm. It’s only a question of how much."

The Insider (1999) - IMDb

Haha... You're right, smoking is bad... most accept this...

but.... that's all in the past for an addict.... the only 2 choices left now which is either to quit or continue using a healthier alternative.

As long as non-smokers out number smokers.. there really isn't a problem... with respect to the world-at-large.... so all the commotion in the papers.. .well, that's just business....

You may think the world cruel due to the media always equating big-tobacco with billions of years of people's lives lost due to poor - health... but as long as the population goes UP... in the perspective of the social planner.. premature death is usually a good thing..

look at Japan.. Very physically healthy population, those old people are living forever.. they spend almost 3x their economy on pensions/geriatric care.... FFS, i bet that's why japan promote all the most unhealthy stuff.. smoking, animepr0n, otakuism

The first link has nothing to do with Big Tobacco. That's our people behaving badly. :-(
The second link is saying that BT is behind the e-cig. That is totally wrong-headed. If BT pulled out of the market today, nobody would notice. This is just ANTZ trying to spin.
The third link is out of date.
And the forth is fiction, albeit fiction based in fact, and is also way out of date.

BT behaved badly, they may still be behaving badly, but that has nothing to do with e-cigs.

The OP seems to think ecigs = big tobacco. Everyone's welcome to their opinion.

Had to break some junk links there. The Daily Beast article is among the most hilarious rubbish I ever read, even including Glantz's stuff. If that is what they are prepared to publish we'll have to censor their domain name here, we can't publicise that sort of trash.

Let's pray:

Proverbs 22:12, KJV

Even though most of the press is against us, we can count on the fair and balanced Repealicans at Faux News to publish the truth.

"When this sort of manipulation of information is done for profit, or to confound the development of beneficial public policy, it becomes a threat to health and to democratic society. Big Tobacco's program has been carefully studied by the sugar industry, which has become a major target of public health advocates."

What goes around comes around.

Stop shaming smokers and maybe you won't experience what it is like to be on the other end of your harsh, critical judgments.
