Yep either way, you gotta think of what you want out of your device.

Mechanical mods will depend on the build/ohms that you have in your Atty.

your ohms determines how much amps is being pulled as well as how many watts your pushing out from the battery. it's set and you cant change that unless you change your build. You will need some sony batteries, the VTC5 has a 30amp continuous with 2600mah battery life. Or you can get the 26650 which is even better, it has like a 50 amp continuous and allot more battery life, you can use those in the Hades mod, Mutant mod or another 26650 style mechanical mod.

The hana mod and others like that, have a built in rechargeable battery which I think can be used as a passthrough when charging, you aren't stuck with a certain amount of power and you can change it varying to how you feel that day. the battery life is allot better in one of those than a single battery mechanical mod. But again, it depends on what you want to be carrying around all day/vaping on. I have a dual 18650/26650 parallel mod coming in the mail this week from a buddy in cali which is strictly for subohm builds and cloudchasing. my nemesis is going to be my daily vape until I get a authentic copper mod or a hana clone like mentioned above.

It's all about how bad you want it or how long you can wait. I honestly wouldn't mind waiting a little while to get a hana clone or Gi2. Im beginning to fall in love with box mods and I feel like I wont be looking at tubes for a while.

More buttons are always nice, the DNA chip performs good as well. Im curious to see the internals of the mod itself and how well the wiring/soldering was done on the inside. The fact that the clone uses a 18650 battery is a little off to me but I mean it's love hate. at least you could change the battery out instead of having to send the thing back in for them to change the battery instead. but it's rechargable so not too bad. I honestly might grab one, It's a hell of a deal.

Provari fits your bill to a T. Simple, rugged and highly appraised. If you have the bones for it, you won't regret it. Save the mech's for when you get all crazy with cloudchasing. I have been very successful producing massive clouds off my Provari with its (3.5?) amp limit.

Im sure you got some cloud game going on but with anything like a DNA or hana it's going to be very very good size clouds. I mean nothing compared to what my mech can do, honestly I think it can be just on my level if it had the right build and so did I. 30 watts is a lot more power than what the provari can do. and it can handle a .40 Amp subohm build.

Big payday with some extra money ....

Well, you have two separate deals going on here ... An atomizer and a mod to power it.

Lets start with the battery first ... If your looking for a non-regulated tube mod, get a good clone. No sense in spending big bucks for something that is basically a threaded tube and a couple of end caps.

As for the atomizer ... You got about a 50 /50 chance of getting something good with a clone ... Spend a few extra bucks and buy an authentic atty such as a [real] SvoëMesto Kayfun Lite Plus. It will cost you about $110 to your door instead of somewhere around $30 for the cheap clone, but well worth the difference in price ... You will be happy!

Just my opinion.

Yah, won't be long before those Hana clones flood the market, I think they are calling the anaH mods...lol. At least they removed the logos on these, the first batch were more expensive and looked almost identical. You knew it was going to happen as soon as China cloned the DNA30 chip, only took a month. I think vapingdealsndiscounts had the links to three vendors, one of them was actually 101vape! Shocked, had to sit on my hands not to order one but I just bought a Duke last month, an authentic Electric Angel and Reo VV this month...lol.

Definitely. That said, the point of my coils on my RSST are surface area. Right now i'm using a 12 wrap 26 gauge coil at 2.2 ohms and it rocks out with its... well you get the idea of whats "out"

The higher surface area coil seems to distribute the heat a lot better one the mesh. Only downsize is that it takes a bit for the 26 gauge to spool up. I'm looking into ribbon a little bit, but I'm not familiar with its resistance properties. My impression is that it has lower resistance, and if I were to use it, the ohms would be too low for my Provari.

That's where a mech or a DNA mod would come in handy. In the future, possibly the near future, I will be adding one of those to my arsenal. The Gi2 looks outrageously awesome haha. 100 watts whaaaaat??

Yeah thats because the Provari has a low output of power versus a hana or a mech mod. I mean Don't get me wrong Im not bashing provaris, I just love the power of a mechanical mod and the amount of power I can get on the push of a button. The hana 30watt is more of a everyday vape with an RDA or a genny and the Gi2 could be used as a cloud chaser as well as everyday vape.

The box form puts me off a little bit. I would really only be able to rock one as an at home vape. My pockets are extremely limited on space. I carry a Fenix PD35 flashlight clipped to my left pocket, phone with wallet case, spare battery and Provari IN my left pocket, and in my right pocket lies my keys, cigar holder (in which I keep band-aids, lockpicks, matches, 12 zip ties and the screwdriver that came with my Russian 91%) as well as my pepper spray (ASP defender) and my knife rides clipped to my right pocket (spyderco Endura4 wave).

Haha that post probably belongs on edcforums site lol. As you can see, I truly do NOT have room for anything larger than the Provari. Maybe the new ZNA that Zen is slowly producing, but not much more. I understand the merits of the high watt mods, and also recognize that the Provari is quickly falling behind as far as it's output and performance capabilities, but it's a tried and true device that seems to have failed nobody. That's why I love it so much

I agree with just about everything you said, especially since my trident clone broke on me. :( sad day. To the rest, thank you very much for the suggestions! I'm headed to bed but if anyone else has suggestions I will be checking back in the morning. Right now I'm going to sleep on the idea of a Hana (might actually got with the official instead of the clone, even though I can only find it back ordered) and a Kayfun Lite Plus. Still pondering the ProVari, which isn't surprising considering the number of people who swear by it, but I may just try a box mod since those Hanas look so well-made and all-around nice. I actually do have a mechanical clone coming from Focalecig eventually so I may just hold off on a Magneto or anything of that ilk.

Also considering a more basic RDA like the Patriot or something similar to go on the Hana/ProVari as well.

I'll probably be pondering this right up until payday, anyways, lol. I'm inpatient but also indecisive, it's a horrible combination.

Yeah I totally understand the space factor and that def applies to certain people. I only carry my phone wallet and keys and I use a lanyard for my keys so I have enough space for my mods in my pocket. I plan on making up something like the vapesox for my box mod coming in this week. so it's like a prototype for my next box. I just love the box mod design, no way of it falling over while sitting on a table Lol Im always watching my nemesis so that it doesn't fall down even at a bump to the table. Another thing with boxes is the ability to utilize parallel 18650's and in some cases like the one Im getting this week I can use 2 26650's for days of battery life. Plus it's cognac stained wood with a magnetic door i mean come on it's purty Lol

It's inevitable that things get old and newer things come along, we can never win Lol. Same thing applies with cars and other toys/hobbies we are interested in.

I just received a patriot a few days ago and I have no complaints so far. The only thing I would recommend is getting a copper centerpost from Vaporlair.com, thats the only thing I wish I ordered as well Lol. Or you can go with the Stillare or TOBH atty ( both have clones on the market as well. If your into clones, do it. I have all clones ATM and they all perform flawlessly. My Nemesis, Patriot, Nimbus, W3 and my Kayfun Lite+ from EHpro are some of the best investments I've made. If you want to spend allot of money on a authentic atty it's up to you and Im in no way bashing any products out there. But you can get the same performance from a clone as long as you build it right.
