big problem with liquid!

Hello all...
I just ercived my e cigg kit finally and I filled a carto exactly as i was instructed to the way people do it when they put the liquid in the rubber cap and squish it down..

When I sucked on the tip liquid came out of it! So i scrubbed the crap outa my mouth right away and now im scared to use it.

It wasnt over full either.

Did you blow through the carto before you tried it? You may have had juice in the air hole thingy.

so before I put it on the battery i blow through the mouth peice? just a little bit or a good blow?

I give it a good blow until no more juice comes out.

I watched countless videos on how to fill but i never saw them blow on it so i was wondering about that because i read about having to do that.

Yeah,the little tube in the center...avoid getting juice in there.

Okay i must have gotten it in the middle. I blew on it good and nothin came out so hopefully its good now.

Can you drain a carto? I have a bunch of non nicotine ones that i dont wanna use unless i can put my own liquid in them.

Yes. You can put a condom on the mouthpiece end and do a reverse spin. The cap will catch the old ejuice.

A drip tip can also provide a barrier between you and excess e-liquid in the carto.

I don't like the condom method for filling cartos. Remove carto from PV. Add liquid by dripping into the top of the carto. For a dry carto, add 6-10 drops turning the carto 1/3 revolution between drops. Wait 30 seconds and repeat. Add fewer drops, wait again for the fluid to soak in. Continue to fill, waiting to soak when the top of the filler looks like a slushie. Set the carto upright on a paper towel or kleenex while waiting for the soak. When juice runs out of the bottom onto the paper towel, the carto is filled. Dry off the atty end, blow though the carto onto the towel if you can't see light through the coil bore in the filler. Screw on the carto, replace the drip tip and you are ready to vape.

Another plus with drip-filling a carto... Darkened juice collects in the lower end of the carto. If you refill by dripping you will flush that stuff out with the overflow that runs down on the paper towel. If you bottom fill with the condom method that stuff just gets forced back up into the filler material, hastening the need to replace a stale, off-flavor carto.

I had the same problem with using cartos with the condom filling method. I took off the white cap on the cart and only use a drip tip to draw and I no longer get juice in my mouth.

Just the way I do it, but I tried the rest and found them tedious and time consuming, I prefer a syringe. That way, less waiting time to use, since the juice gets to the bottem. Good luck, starting out is a pain until you figure out the best way for you, but it is so worth it in the end!

With the syringe do you stick it in the cotton or just drip it like with the bottle

Slide it in between the metal and the filler on the side away from the piece of metal wire you can see- if it's a thin needle you can go to the bottem without disturbing the filling much. I fill about a mil and move up abit and let the rest in. Go slow, stop when the top of the filler looks wet. Wait five or ten minutes, add a few drops more if it wicked down.

I would drip it just onto the top. I have gotten a ton of juice in my mouth from getting my feel for filling the right amount on all my hardware. I've poured liquid on my hands etc. I think my fiance got some in his nose one time lol. We are still alive Just rinse with water or wash your hands and your good to go!

awsome!! such a relief i was kinda freaking out... Alot of people on the net (non vaping people of course) make it out to be really horrible and potentially very bad.
