Hello all...
I just ercived my e cigg kit finally and I filled a carto exactly as i was instructed to the way people do it when they put the liquid in the rubber cap and squish it down..

When I sucked on the tip liquid came out of it! So i scrubbed the crap outa my mouth right away and now im scared to use it.

It wasnt over full either.

the liquid gets like sucked out of the mouth peice

You'll also have the same problem if you just ram the carto down on the condom. Push the carto down until you see some juice starting to come out the top of the filler material/air hole..... Stop for a few seconds and let it soak in. Keep on moving the carto down a little bit at a time, looking for the juice to come up and flood the top. Each time stop and let it soak in.... lather rinse repeat.

When you bring the carto down too fast it doesn't really soak in the filler material that well and you'll get a mouth full of juice. Let the carto sit on a paper towel for a minute or so.... or enough time to cap your juice bottle and set it back in it's place. Then give a blow on it for a few seconds, a good one like you're back in grade school and trying to launch a spit ball at the annoying kid across the class room.

It just sounds a lot more annoying that it actually is. You'll get the hang of it after a few times.

when you use a drip tip does it fit into the carto where the rubber cap comes out?

Yep, you just put it in the same hole and it sort of snaps in place.... Just for less wear and tear on the battery I usually put the tip on when the cartos is in my hand and not on the PV.

+1 on what Running Wolf said.....love the condum fill method, when done right. Also makes traveling easier...nothing extra to take along if you have juice and a condum. And to me....the juice is much better absorbed when filling from the bottom. Just go SLOW.

This thread makes me so happy I started off with an Ego-C and tanks. No "tricks" to get it filled correctly, no setting it down to wait for it to settle to make sure I've added enough, no checking a paper towel to see if there's some coming out of the end.

Carto's just seem too complicated to me, and while I have three brand new carto's someone gave me to try, I haven't felt the need to use them yet. It just seems intuitively to me that the tank will provide a much "cleaner" taste, with no filler to filter through and potentially burn as well. I may be completely off on my assumptions, but it sure has been pretty much maintenance free for me using tanks (other than rinsing them out with warm water when I want to change flavors).

I do the exact smae thing with filling my cartos. Works like a charm!
Slide it in between the metal and the filler on the side away from the piece of metal wire you can see- if it's a thin needle you can go to the bottem without disturbing the filling much. I fill about a mil and move up abit and let the rest in. Go slow, stop when the top of the filler looks wet. Wait five or ten minutes, add a few drops more if it wicked down.

It looks like you have a great set-up with the Ego-C and tank but I'm on the go with my E-Power and like something that will work all day for me and still fit easily into the Levi's pocket. Replacing a carto once a week is worth the trouble for the portability. Once you learn how to avoid burning the carto filler and how to fill cartos properly the vaping taste is very good, indeed.

One day I'll break down and try a carto - I'm sure. I just haven't found a juice I'd want to vape all week long any way. LOL

You may want to tell us exactly what brand of e-cig you are using, this would help us give you a better insight of what your doing wrong or also we could suggest a better product, there are tons of junk e-cigs out on the market and tons of great ones too, so tell us what ya got rhianna89 please

Good call on using Boge cartos. you don't always have to get fancy filling these things. just dripping down the sides avoiding the center hole works just fine and doesn't take very long. a standard Boge will take about 20 - 25 drops. just do a couple drops wait for it to soak in and add a few more. it will take a little longer on a new carto to absorb but not much. I usually just drip untill a drop falls out of the bottom (20 or so drops for a new carto) give it a couple good blows into a paper towell let it sit for awhile if you have time (or not, no biggie) and you're good to go. You will need to top it off every now and then. just look at the filler, if it looks white and dry and or tastes funky just add a couple drops untill it looks wet again. Hope you enjoy vaping. It takes a little trial and error to find what YOU like but its well worth it. So stick with it awhile and you'll forget about cigarettes for good. Good luck.

I'm still pretty much a noob but here is my 2 cents.

I also prefer the condom method for filling cartos, it's simple, easy and you only waste a few drops. I just fill up the "condom" 3/4 of the way full with e liquid (I didn't say juice because that would make it sound more dirty) :p. I am an innocent FLOWER!!! /cough

Slowly push the threaded end of your carto into the condom part way, wait a bit for it to soak in, push it in some more, wait a bit until you are at the bottom.

If liquid comes out at the top, thats ok, it's just soaking into the top of the filling.

I then slowly pull the carto out near the top of the condom and let/wipe the excess liquid back into the condom.

I usually repeat this one more time to make sure the carto is saturated. I then let the excess drip out, wipe the threadeded end of the carto off, turn it upside down and gently blow from the threaded end of the carto until it dosen't sound "gurgley". I usually do this when the carto is slightly tilted back into the condom but as there is still airflow, not just shoved back into the condom. That way, by gently blowing, the excess juice goes back into the condom and you can use the excess juice to top fill your new carto when it starts to look dry, thus not really wasting much juice.

I hope this dosen't look spammy, but I learned a LOT from buying the Rezeorector (spelling) bundle from C.C.V. they are great on lower/ regular volt batts and with the 15 pack deal, you can buy say, 2 steel and 1 clear pack for cheap. The clears ARE delicate and might be a bit too big for most "cones" that are used with regular ego kits, but the clears really helped me actually see how my filling method was actually saturating the polyfil. They were/are a great learning tool. Just don't buy 15 of them, they will probabllly break if you carry them around in your pocket ewwwwww.

I find using a syringe is by far the easiest and quickest way. Theres no waiting bc you fill from the bottom up and it ensures they are filled correctly. Dripping takes awhile bc you have to let the juice settle and takes even longer if you use thick juice or XL cartos. The condom method is okay, but I find it doesnt work that great with bigger cartos and it can sometimes be messy too. Using a syringe is extremely easy and takes all the guess work out of filling any carto. It doesn't make a mess and you don't have to wait to use a carto.
If you buy cartos from CCV you get a free syringe with every purchase. That syringe is perfect for filling and works great for regular size and XL cartos. If you buy a 15-pack of cartos you get a free syringe and drip tip. They also have free shipping which is nice when your just buyin some cartos

As far as getting juice on your hands and in your mouth, like someone else said, really the worst part abou getting it in your mouth is just that it tastes awful. You can also get some on your hands and it's not gona cause a problem. Pre-mixed juice is not what is dangerous, it's nicotine liquid that you can't get on your hands. Nicotine liquid that you use to make your own juices will absorb through your hands and can really make you feel awful, especially if you use very concentrated nic liquid like 100mg/ml or 60mg/ml. Premixed juIces have the nic liquid diluted down to safe vaping levels and getting alittle on your hands will not cause a problem
