Hey guys. I posted a few weeks ago asking for recommendations to get me started vaping. You all came through like champs! The Kanger Katana Kit I wanted to purchase was sold out when I went to order, so I ordered a different kit through another MyFreedomSmokes. It was some off brand, but similarly priced and the battery was a variable voltage model, which was a perk. I did order a Kanger BCC with it, and I'm so glad I did. The tank that came in the kit sucked, but the BCC is really nice. I like it so much, in fact, that I have a few packs of analogs sitting on my kitchen table that I haven't touched in days! I haven't wanted to. I even convinced my partner to let me order a kit for him.

I ordered a couple different kinds of ejuice to try and I really liked the menthol. I've only ordered 10 mL bottles so far, but I'm think I want to order a larger quantity of the menthol as that will be my go-to juice. I'm hesitant to order more than 30 or 60 mL at a time though, as what I'm reading doesn't recommend storing beyond 30 days to ensure the flavor doesn't change.

So I'm starting my research into DIY juices. I see I can buy unflavored nicliquid, which means I don't have to deal with the hazards of mixing pure nic with the glycerin. It would also work great for my partner and me, as I like menthol and he smokes reds. We can mix up our own flavors and everyone's happy. Will this store better than the preflavored juices, or will I have to order freebase nic and glycerin? I'm not talking about keeping it for years, but a 500 mL bottle should last us 4-5 months. Or is there a better way? I'd also like to purchase a test kit for the bulk liquid, is there any particular brand that is most trusted?

Thanks again for your advice, this forum has been a life saver.

E liquid has a shelflife of 1 to 2 years if stored in a cool dark place. I used totally wicked for my DIY supply's also look at lorann super strength flavoing just read the description if it says it's water soluble then you can vape it. Start around 10 % total flavoring. Pg will carry the flavor better than VG but VG makes most of the visible vapor. Most people say a 50/50 pg VG ratio is best for them

I wouldn't worry too much, 30 days is a rough estimate before some folks detect flavor changes. It is NOT an expiration date. To be honest, you may even like a juice better after it has steeped for a longer period of time (like 30 or 45 days). I would suggest taking a tankful or two of your favorite juice, and just letting it sit for a while (say 30-45 days), and try it to see how you like it.

So my flavored liquid will be good for a while if I store them somewhere cool and dark? That's good to know. I've seen so much conflicting information on different sites, I figured I wouldn't know until I bit the bullet and bought a larger quantity.

I'm definitely still interested in mixing my own e liquid. It seems like it cuts down on costs, plus it would be fun to mix up my own flavors. Almost like being the mad scientist I always dreamed of when I was a kid ;) Thanks.
