Thanks, WarHawk. Like all good ideas, that gives me another. Maybe I could set up my bench mounted drill press with a piloted router bit for some jobs that are too small for practical clamping. I only wonder if I could get enough rpm out of it to get up to the speed needed for a smooth router cut.

For the PVC deal, I think Dremal makes some little drill press attachment that would be a lot cheaper and less annoying than constructing something like that.

Неу, why use a drill press etc? Just take an usual triangle file and grind a triangle shaped needle using your dremel. Then you are able to make a bigger hole everywhere. Be careful when you grind, do not overheat the file, use water for cooling..

OR, you could just use a round file and do it by hand...

James, air holes in atties are sometimes have very small diameter, about 0.6-0.8 mm. You shure can use a round file, but if you find such a thin one. But if you sharpen a triangle needle you can use it for any diameter ;)

Yes, I will concede that not everyone has as diverse a collection of cobalt or diamond jeweler's files as I do

After a month I hope that hole is by now enlarged. I see your drill bits, dremels and needle files, and raise you to chucking a round diamond needle file in a drill.

Care should be taken, there is a good reason these are called needle files....

Aye! True enough!!
Actually, I've not found a need to enlarge any of the air holes in my RBAs/RDAs I normally prefer a tighter draw, and if I want to blow Clouds, I just use my Trident :D

Not very elegant, but I just drilled out a bully V3 by hand. I just have a full power Black an Decker corded drill, without any variable speed or torque, and it's way too powerful for fine work. I just grabbed a bit and spun it by hand, up to 3/32. It wouldn't finish the final turn on the last bit, so I threw the bit in a vice-grip and turned the atty for the last couple of turns. Much better airflow now.

For the 2nd air hole, why not just drill through the other air hole and into the back side of the atty on the other side?

No drill press needed. Hole will be super close to 180 degree and on the same level. Just started with the smallest you have.

When further drilling it out come in from the outside of the atty through the new hole to clean up the burrs you just created by coming through the backside with the previous bit.
