Aaron recently visited Dr. Drew's show. You might be surprised what this famous board-certified addiction specialist had to say...

"I've seen vaping nicotine products really help tobacco dependent patients. It's sort of remarkable."

I am sure if Aron was genuine about saving lives at least not so much give this movie for free to some one like Netfix, but at least he could recover the money like other movie companies and producers do and put it up as a pay per view event like a lot of movies on Google Movies or YouTube where you can rent the movie or buy it. I for one dislike going to cinemas and prefer to watch either rented or purchased DVD's or movies I have bought on line.

I have had email correspondence with Aron about this and it does not seem that he is interested in these options at all. There are a lot of people out there that would love to see this movie in the comfort of their own homes and not hearded like sheep in and out of cinema complexes.

You can have a drink, vape or a meal while watching a movie of your choice at home. Try doing this at a Cinema not in my country at least. Australia.

@Acer50 Sorry but, I find it very hard to believe that Aaron told you he has no interest in Netflix. The first thing that many of us did was to contact Netflix and request that they show this film. It is not that easy. They don't show a film until there is plenty of interest in it. You can't just give it to them and ask them to air it.

It will indeed be on Netflix and cable TV one day. These are the appropriate steps to take in order to get there. Those of us that are supporting Aaron and his film will be the ones that help to make it so.

My reply was that in the immediate future Aaron is only interested in Cinema screening. The lodgic behind it is obvious for once released to DVD or online media it could easily be pirated (copied) by many movie softwarw programs currently on the market. Aaron wants to recoup the costs before releasing his doco to cyberspace platforms.

I would do exactly the same. I doubt that there are many if any people out there that would put the time and effort into something like this and not want/need to recoup the cost.

Update for those of you interested and not on FB. There are plenty of folks inside India that are trying hard to help Aaron get in. Hopefully they will get it worked out very soon.

I'm really not sure what the fuss is about money. What if Aaron didn't care about vapers, and just made the movie to make money, and got filthy rich but it woke up the world to the possibility of cutting heart disease, pulmonary disease, etc., and we kept our right to vape? Why would we care?

We need to promote this movie to raise awareness, not funds. We need to SUPPORT this movie by going out to see it, so that the theaters are stunned by our numbers, not Aarons. So they can pick it up themselves, and get the buyers coming to them to see this provocative movie. The trailer is GOOD. The provocative posters are good. The MESSAGE is good. You won't see the commercials until there is major momentum, which is what WE need to help build.

The apathy of vapers, and especially vape SHOPS, is killing me. Seems everyone has stocked up and learned DIY. I think the shops haven't really got a clue what is coming. Have you talked to someone at a Chain Tobacco\head shop cum vape shop? They never heard of the movie. They don't even care that they have to clear that 20% shelf space in 2 years.

It isn't about us. Or Aaron's money. It's about choice and smokers, present AND future. If you can't fight for that, because counting someone else's money is getting in your way, you don't DESERVE a "right" to vape.

I'm sure that's adds to it, I know it would were I in his place. If you watch his chat posted above, however, he does address Netflix specifically, and that they are not interested. He goes on to say that the more attention and demand that gets generated, they will likely become interested.

ETA: Sorry, but I wasn't sure that I know how to insert his most recent update video from FB. He said that David Goerlitz is not welcome in India and they rejected his tourist visa, and he asked that we all keep up the momentum.

The film will be screened in Kansas City on Nov. 15 at a movie theater a few blocks from my home. I immediately tried to buy tickets, but according to the ABL website it's sold out. :( Now what?? Is there a way to find out who organized this screening?

I'm listening to this one now. this is wonderful! Haven't watched the negative one yet.

This just in from the New York Magazine:
don't do FB, so dunno bout this one But appreciate you posting these.

Others have said some of this....... but first of all..... Aaron is not a vaper and has never smoked. He didn't do this movie because he wanted to get the word out about vaping. He did this movie to uncover fraud, cover ups etc. Because so much of this was so prevalent in vaping, he chose vaping as his subject.

He absolutely has a right to make his money back, because much of his own money has gone into making and promoting this film!

At this point if it were released on Netflix or somewhere else on the internet or dvds.....the only folks who would care about going to see it are vapers. The ones who NEED to see are those who are against vaping, particularly politicians and doctors. BUT.... by getting a lot of publicity for the movie.......getting others to see it...... folks will realize what it's really about, so that once it does show up on dvd, netflix etc........ others who wouldn't originally watch it, likely will!! We need to uncover the lies and conspiracies and that's what he's doing. We're incredibly fortunate that he chose vaping as the subject!

Will copy this and put it on the thread A Billion Lives Listings and Show Times if it's not already on there. If anyone has a new showing.........please list it on that thread. All you need is the city and state..........date.......and the tugg link to it!

Good luck with the publicity etc. As I said before I do not mind supporting Arron and happily buy 10 dvds to give to those that cannot afford them. But I point blank refuse to waste any more of my time and money surfing around trying to find where it WILL be screened in Australia and I will be damned if I will pay air fare to travel to the state or city screening the same. As I said on many occasions cinema owners are only interested in box office hits...without deliberatly being rude I say in that case [Moderated] cinema owners.
