Billow RTA V2 Nano, short after sitting on mod for a while

So this is weird, if I let my billow v2 RTA nano sit on my mod (tried 2 different mods) for more than 5-10 min, it gives me a short error when I try to fire it up.

I have to reinstall the tank to get it fired up....anyone know the reason for this?

[edit] I've built it to about 0.3ohm using kanthal A1 dual coil...the thing fires up no problem if I have it freshly installed on a mod but letting it sit on the mod and idle for 10 min produces a short error.
