so it seems like whenever I rewick, and dry burn my RDA coils it has a foul taste to it for a while. This time around I may have used a different cotton than normal, but almost always use the same wick. Does anyone else experience this?
turning down the power seems to help some,, but still complete change of flavor

try this method, burn the coil till bright red/orange (hold for 6 to 10 secs) then soap it inside water ( just the coil portion). This will flush out the carbon stuck in the coil. (rep this process for a few times)

Your coil should be clean as new without any foul taste. Anyway, its best to change every week.

thanks all. I ended up recoiling it a few days ago. Forgot to follow up on this thread.
I scrubbed it down with an alcohol soaked q tip and put a new coil/ wick in, taste went away after a few puffs. It still is strangely harsh though, idk what to think about that. I used to use it with a 28g dual coil at .4-.5 on a mech and it wasn't near as harsh,I can barely turn it to 20 watts with the coil I have(1 ohm 26g single coil).
never done a single coil before, but I wouldn't think it should make that much difference, I'll do dual next time and gone it a shot. Mostly doing mtl his these days anyway.
