If you had the recommended battery then the spring should have collapsed. If you were using a long battery and the spring could not collapse then the melted button is the result. Either way you do need to contact Robert and set up to send it to him for repair. Don't try to use it.
The atty might be the culprit. Usually that is what causes a short and the problems. If you have a multimeter check your atty. Do not use it agian, unless you check it and it is fine.

Chuckie..... don't forget to pay for the return postage back to you. When I had my Grand reviewed by Rob, I enclosed a Priority label in the box addressed back to me. This saves time for Robert..... fix it / ship it all in one step. If you mailed already without the return label, send Robert postage via PayPal.
