Okay, so call me paranoid. I just received my black satin ProVari. As with all my other ProVari, I keep it in a velvet pouch (thank you Super-T Manufacturing) at all times. I am so afraid of scratching the finish, especially the finish on the one that is gold-plated.
My question to you all is: for those who don't use any protection, how well is the black satin finish holding up? I would really love to take the jammies off and just gaze at the beauty of this awesome ProVari as I vape it all day long.

Have had my black satin for 23 days now, and I just give it a wipe down once or so a day with a micro-fibre cloth. Looks as good as day one. Carried it only once with keys by mistake, but luckily it didn't get scratched. I try to keep it in a separate pocket with nothing hard.

So far, I've dropped it twice, and it's been knocked over on the table a few times hitting my tanks, laptop, etc. I like to keep em all standing straight up. Not the greatest idea when you're just waking up and reaching for one half blind. Yeah, have had them play dominoes but none of them took any damage. The mini hit the chrome, which hit the black satin. All 3 holding up great.

Now I usually just take the mini out with me and leave the others behind. Oh, and that chrome looks so good, but does require frequent wipe downs, as it just seems to attract anything and everything that wants to interfere with it's shiny exterior.

I see the Provari as a tool, and I don't mind battle scars on things I use as tools. I don't protect it from keys or other things that might scratch it at all. It's already fallen off tables, came flying out of my coat pocket onto my Mom's ceramic-tile kitchen floor, etc. and it looks great -- but it does have a few marks on it. No biggie to me at all.

My socket wrenches don't look perfect either. :)
