I've been vaping now for three weeks, and aside from once last week, when curiosity had me smoke one cigarette just to see if I was over them (I am. It tasted like burning tire rubber in a junk yard), I've been cigarette free since. Thing is, over the weekend I started coughing up some really nasty stuff. Black phlem to be specific. I've been doing some reading, and apparently this is normal for those who just quit smoking. It's wild, what I was doing to my lungs for 16 years.... Anyway, I was wondering if any other recently quit smokers have experienced this. Also, if anyone has has such a delayed response. As I said, it's been 3 weeks, and only NOW is this happening to me.

i think the added fluid from the juice vapor helps soften it and helps in lifting off the surface of the tissue.

took me about 6 weeks then one day in a steamy shower i thought i was drowning, couldnt breath and just kept hacking up junk. but since then i can take wonderful deep breaths now and it feels really cool, actually forget sometimes what it was like with that wheezing and short inhales.

pretty wild feeling since i was a 2PAD chainsmoker for over 30 years, now i go riding my bike and dont seem to get winded at all.

I was a pack a day smoker. Would have been worse if I could afford more then a pack a day. Really, I couldn't afford the pack a day. I'm ashamed to admit, it was the cost more then anything else that drove me to looking into vaping as an alternative. Even though I went ahead and purchased an iTaste VV 3.0 and a mini protank, and another little kit for my husband, and a bunch of new flavors and new coils and spare tanks and.... It's still cheaper. At least, cheaper then two cartons would have cost me for my husband and I here.

dont be, many here were in the same boat and the health benefit was just a nice added bonus. if we didnt want to keep smoking 90% of ECF wouldnt be here. personally before i discovered vaping I already accepted i was going to die a smoker.

Same here. Don't be ashamed about it, though. It doesn't matter WHAT prompted you to stop, the important thing is, you stopped. And you know what? I'll take it. I'd rather it be ANYTHING that made me stop short of cancer, emphysema or the like is a worthy reason in my book!

I don't think anyone anywhere is going to say 'Oh, no, missy. That wasn't a good enough reason, you have to start smoking again.' LOL.
