Black textured Provari paint issues.

Is it just mine, or are all of the textured black coatings faulty? On the main body, towards the threading the coating is extremely thin and you can see the silver through it. Around the edges on my 18650 extension cap...its flaking/chipping away as well! I noticed that they replaced it with Black Chrome now, is this due to the faulty paint? It becoming an eyesore now...do you think that this is covered under the extended warranty I purchased with the unit? I would hate to send it back because I sold all of my back up PV's!

Yes, it should be covered. Contact them and let them know what's going on with it.

This is one of the reason why I decided not to get a painted Provari, besides the extra wait time. Everything I have that has been painted or coated in something has, eventually, peeled and flaked away, making the item look horrible. Maybe I'm just bad at maintaining my stuff, but somehow I doubt it.

Provape got a hold of me in regards to my issue...talk about customer service! Im a strong believer that you get what you pay for and I don't regret spending a single penny with these guys!

The main body of mine has a very narrow strip along the bottom where it's beginning to show some wear. The extended endcap also has about a quarter inch area right along the bottom which chipped off when I dropped it on concrete. Personally, I like the textured black though. I like the way it feels and it doesn't show fingerprints. I've put this thing through the ropes for several months now, and although it is definitely not as pristine as it once was it still looks pretty good. You really have to look for the flaws. My eGos (which I still use while doing yardwork) look a lot worse after less use.
