I'm been vaping for 5 weeks now and haven't touched an A since.
I'm using an ego T starter kit with 3 sorts of carto's.
Recently bought an ego variable voltage battery that I use when dripping.

I started dripping 3 days ago (also bought 2 (normal and LR) 510 atty's at home.
Because the clear carto G4 witch I have used, 3 by now, started to get a carbon build up on the wick.
The last 2 did have it rather soon (3days) and I only refill it once a day as I have other carto's with me all the time.
It seems to me when the wick is pure black on the coil the wicking isn't so good anymore and I get sometimes a burning tast. also the liquid in the carto is getting more dark every time I use it.

I use mint, witch is almost clear.
I don't completly emty it, always end up with 3mm before refill.

My question: can i clean them so the wick is white again?
I tried boiling in water but it stays the same

Or am I doning something wrong?

I gave up on the tanks in favor of the EMDCC and it's goodness on my eGo-T. I found the tanks fiddly and never really liked the vapor from them...

I did, however soak mine in 97% alcohol for an hour or so, then rinsed them with water and let them dry. Then dry burned until I saw the coils turning red again...(never for more than about 3 seconds at a time.) It helped somewhat, but not as much as I had hoped.

There are ways to clean attys but I have never used or cleaned a tank atty. Hopefully someone who has will help you. Here are some previous threads.

BTW - mint flavoring may be an oil (like most citrus, nut, cinnamon and ginger flavorings) or a crystal (like menthol) and may be more prone to charring/gunking on wicks and in cartomizers.
