So, I tried out a new juice today called 'Bed of Roses' from a place called Kai's Virgin Vapor. As I'm used to vaping 70/30, I didn't like the 100% VG 'hit' so I immediately emptied the tank and cleaned it out as I would normally do when switching flavors. I switched back to the (still good) coil that I was using previously, and proceeded to vape normally. However, I started to feel extremely nauseated a few hits in and sucked in something horrible tasting. I spat it out and saw it was this cold, blackish, reddish, syrupy substance. Naturally, I freaked out and shut everything off.

I'm using the Smok Micro starter kit (R80 TC, Micro TFV4 tank).

Right now, I feel super sick and like I'm going to hurl at any moment. I opened the vents as you can see, and just blew into the mouthpiece until the gunk leaked out. It wont stop coming out and I have no idea what's going on, so I've resolved to just let it sit and dribble out until I know what it is.

Looks like residual food colorings, if Roses of the previous liquid are any indication of flavorings and colorings in the liquid. It could be just water from cleaning the coil, but, if it were me and everything is making you nausious, I'd take the old coil out and toss it, thoroughly clean out the tank and tank base and dry them thoroughly, then reassemble with a new coil. Could also be a chemical reaction with different VG/PG bases, to different nicotine bases, to flavorings combining and making new chemical molecules when heat is applied.

yes you can get a color change from heating juices. Some more than others. Perfectly normal. Especially if you have a real sweet juice. Sweetener just like sugar when heated will brown and the longer your nicotine ages the darker your juice will get. Perfectly normal. You can take 2 of the same juice, one made fresh today and compare it to one made a month ago and they will look different. The nicotine will darken over time and with heat.

How long you been using that coil? Gunk drainage comes from gunked up coils. Clean your tank and base too, put in a new coil, problem solved.

I opened the pack of coils about three days ago. Yeah, I've cleaned everything repeatedly, but I can still smell that bed of roses stuff in the base. Its clearly the juice. I think I'm going to steer clear from those extracts and organics until I have more experience. Should I use a dab of rubbing alcohol or what?

If you're going to clean with rubbing alcohol, make sure you remove the o-rings first. I would suggest using vodka or pure grain alcohol to deep clean your tanks of any foul tastes and gunk. (you can use the same grain alcohol to clean your coils...just make sure you rinse them well and let them fully dry before reusing)

It doesn't work on EVERYYYY coil, but i've had luck with everclear in Cleito 120 coils. :p
Did you just soak it or brush it too? I tried soaking Myjet pod coils with 151 proof (all I can get in NC). Pretty sure they're Nichrome 80 31 awg though advertised as 28 awg kanthal (no way), didn't do a thing even with a 48 hour soak. I would think it should help clear the clieto coil cotton of gunky juice, but the hardened buildup on the coils themselves?

Welcome and glad you joined. Sounds like your equipment needs a good soaking overnight. Some juices can really ruin a vape experience.
