radiated1, you can fill and vape just make sure the air tube in the Carto is clear of juice and there is no juice in the Carto threads. Don't know what method you'll be using, but here's a little video (no audio) to help you out on how many drops depending on which Carto type Wow or Premium Cool Cart you have.

Fresh Wow Blank.....1 ml Fresh Cool blank......1.25 Using a syringe I put a .... plug in them, then a condom over that and fill it almost completely flooding it, let it sit for a second, then extract juice back out and place the needle into air tube, extracting it out as well.

Snow....I didn't think you liked syringes:).............:p

Well Kee I decided to give it a try and indeed it is a quick, painless, and efficient way to refill...I'd go as far as to say it is hands down the best way. I always slide in a .... plug and then a condom first when I fill....to prevent any leakage out the air tube (so many jokes in there I'm just going to leave it alone).

That's why you have to respect the Forum Greats...Sallyem raved about the syringe method for months but I just couldn't get my mind around it until I ran into issues with some blue wire newer Cool Carts. That Sallyem....she's one wise bird!

I don't think I will ever take them out of the house to refill and my kids are teens so I am good there. As well, I think it's a method to tell users after they have been vaping for awhile as opposed to a newbie. Instead of topping off I just refill and extract after a couple of hours and haven't burnt up a Carto yet. The only other thing worth noting is that they do not work well for cleaning out Cartos.

I'm using a 3cc 1.5 inch 18 gauge pointed needle.

The drip method is still golden for those that can't get syringes, don't want them, or when you are away from home and don't want to take a syringe with you.

Well...welcome to the other side of the playground:) I still need to get the 18ga needle....the 16 I use for DIY is a bit difficult to work with in the cartos (at least for me)....and they don't work with the 510 cartos either (too big)....Wonder if anyone has used the 20ga with V4L juice??? I have stayed away from them to this point cause I like the thicker vg and 20's are even harder to draw the vg, but not sure about the mix.......

Keela...I think Jeffree uses 16g and possibly 14g and he is the VG King round these parts. I use 18g for all V4L juice from vanilla/dark to Wowbacco/pale yellow. These are all 18mg, the color of the juice will vary with mg content.

yea....16 and 14 are bigger than the 18.....20 is even smaller still and I would love to use the 20's if they will work with these juices.....I can't imagine they wont, but as I have only had the cartos and no juice as of yet, not sure how thick they actually are.....thank you for your input:)

oh no....insulin needles are usually around 34 or 36ga....they are waaaaaay to small. anything thicker than water really is a chore with them. Syringe needles (like any wire really) work a bit backwards.....the larger the number the smaller the needle. I do use the insulin syringe though.....great for small amounts, but I have to toss the needle portion in my sharps container:)

I have BD Ultra-Fine Insulin Syringes 3/10cc, 1/2" length needle, 30 gauge. I used to use them on my (late) cat. I also found some 20g Nipro Hypodermic (Needle only) from when I had to give the cat IV fluids. They are about 1 inch long. If you can use any of this, do I hear a swap?
