Hi ECF,
I have tried blank cartomizers for the 808D-1 and some of them are so porous. It is like all this air coming through and none of the good juice flavor. I would appreciate some input on blank cartomizer brands. The soft tips are better than the glued hard tips.

I have been trying the KR808D-1 e-cig for a month now after smoking for 20 years and would really like to stay with it. Thanks for all the helpful post on ECF. :)

I vote Premium Blank Cartomizers from Litecigusa.net.
I've had good luck with these.

I agree with the choice: the blank cartos - specifically the Premium SOFTCAP cartos from LiteCigUSA were my gotos until I found Bloog. They offer three types @litecig so be careful - the non premiums are hard caps. I still use the premiums on my 808 PT (from time to time) but, I prefer the Bloog cartos because I can put 30 drops into the Bloog without a leak instead of the 20 drops on the premiums - and, as I have compared them side-by-side - have noticed a significant difference in taste - at least out of the box and have identified the reason: in all pre-Bloog cartos (the "pre" meaning that Bloog is newer technology) - the coil that 'atomizes' the juice is in direct contact with the polyfill -so, it takes a few uses to get the 'fill' taste out. OTOH, the coil in the Bloog cartos is encased in a burn proof (er, highly resistance) casing or 'air tube' - with this in mind, the flavor of the polyfill does NOT transfer. This was big for me, because I can grab a new carto out of the box and not have the initial 'sterile' taste - very important for my wife also who is now a new e-cig user and who is very averse to change - having had to explain to her that 'once you get an off-taste, the carto needs a few drops...' and having the carto START with the off taste was kinda hard to 'splain to the noob that she is...

With that said, the Premium Soft Caps from litecig is a solid goto, but, when your taste buds return after the years of analog abuse, the Bloogs are going to provide you more consistent flavor and longevity then the older technology cartos...

I might have to try the liteCig premium too, are they low resistance? What makes them better than others you have tried?

They have both, 3ohm and LR (2.2ohm?) cartos - better is subjective - the one's from litecig seem to last longer and break in easier - also, unlike the V4L blanks, they don't seem to burn the fill as fast - either that, or you get the 'off-taste' sooner to let you know you need a few more drops.

Hey papabloog, i got my bloogs because of your recommendation. So far i like it, but how often do they last for you? do you keep dripping juice in them to prolong their lives? On to the liteCig... i looked at their site but i dont see anywhere that mentions what ohm, did i miss it, does it say on their site?

As far as Bloog carto longevity - I honestly don't know - I haven't wrecked one yet - not even 1! When it dries out, I throw in 20-24 drops and keep vaping - I've had some in rotation now for over 5 weeks with no sign of stopping.

As far as the litecig, the ohm ratings are not stated. I had to do some research to find out what they rated at and found the the PREMIUM SoftCaps are 3ohm and the PREMIUM LR are 2.2.-2.4 ohms -

I don't recommend the LR UNLESS you need a really wicked throat hit - I don't recommend the LR because it's like a V8 - I mean, 8mpg - if you catch my meaning. You'll burn thru 20 drops in very short order. The 3ohm carts are perfect and are like a 6 cylinder engine - just enough oomph to get you up to and maintain your ideal speed, 20 drops lasts me a good hour of solid vaping. The HARDCAPs are - well, don't like'em one bit - the caps are glued on.

But dang, these bloogs - holds 30 drops used, 36-40 drops out of the package. that's 1.5+ml of juice - I know it aint a tank mod but, it is MORE than enough juice to last me about a 1/2 day per carto...

I managed to kill one but i am a newbie i couldnt tell when to refill so i burnt one, but now i refill every so often... and have put in another order for 25 of them!!

yes your explanation about LR cartos makes sense, i havent tried to measure how much juice i am using, i am pretty sure i use quite a bit anyways because i always overfill my cartos. The LR i am using now somehow dont work with all my batteries, i might end up using the bloogs exclusively, that might help me save some juice.. thanks again!!

Wasting a few drops of juice here and there is SO much more cost-effective then, let's say, lighting the wrong end of an analog? Damn, there goes about $0.40! --

I can attest to the brag that you can get at least 60 drops & I got 70 drops of a juice in 1 of Isaac's cartos.
I bought 10 & out of the 10 I had 1 that didn't pass metering.
Contacted Isaac & he is shipping me a new one.

They are horizontal coil in the bottom of the carto so keep them standing on the threaded end to keep the juice on the atty.

Later,
louis
