Man I almost forgot how much analogs STANK. I have an outside pail that I used to throw butts in when I was smoking outside. I decided it was a good day for it to go and I dumped the pail in the trash. Good grief over the last week of not smoking the smell almost knocked me out as the ashes spun around in the wind.

Had to wash and vape :vapor: a bit to get the smell out of my head. Nothing worse that old cigarette smell.

I hear you there.I did the same thing when the snow melted after the winter. It got buried from not being used. Its amazing the difference in smell after you have been away from butts for a while. Then you think to yourself, man I used to smell like that? The worst is when a smoker talks in your face after a smoke.Talk about Blech. That alone is enough to make me not want to go back but the joy of vaping is a pretty sweet cherry on top!

LOL. That's funny!

I don't feel like such a freak after washing my car ashtray 5 times to try get rid of the smell

Are you kidding....I had to wash the walls in my house twice...and wash everything I could. What I couldn't get the smell out of I threw away....i tossed some of my throw rugs,,,,,gave me a good excuse to replace them....lol

It is a wonder my wife stayed with me.

Same here! During my fourth day vaping at my work bench, I smelled sumpin' horrible. It was my ash tray. So I dumped it and put it in a storage closet at the other end of the garage. Well yesterday, 27th day tobacco free, I had to soak and clean it. My sense of smell has truly improved.

Why did I keep that ash tray, you may ask? It's an aluminum USGI memento that I've carried around the world twice. May have it mounted with a global map... ;-)

As to my bride of 42 years this year, think I'll keep her!!! :thumb:

The wife put the "No smoking" sign in the house early so I never smoked inside and tried not to smoke in my truck. I can't imagine years of smoking in the house. I bet you had to wash and paint!

I bought a pack of analogs this week because my good battery died. I have another battery, but it's fussy and only works with very few cartridges and of course all of those cartridges were dead. I hated the way I smelled and the nasty taste in my mouth afterwards. I was so happy today when I received my new battery. I have another on the way and I think I'll order one more just to be safe.

Sam's Club sells a product called OdoBan. It can be purchased in a gallon jug for around $9. You mix one ounce in quart spray bottle and use just like the other fabric/odor control sprays. Some Wallymarts sell it in the spray bottle ready to use. OdoBan is great for destroying the odor completely. It is also used in hospital settings because it kills germs and bacteria. I have never found another product that will remove smells so well. It is safe for pets and children. It totally removed all smell of smoke from my vehicles. You can even put it in your wash and it will remove the smoke smell. If it is a smell you want gone, it will work.
Disclaimer: I do not work for any store that sells, or manufacturers OdoBan. I have not been paid to endorse OdoBan

Actually when I had the inside painted about 5 years ago, I demanded washable paint ex-hubby(now) gave in lol.....so washing was all I needed to do... of course, this was only after painting complete house every 5 years or so,,,,I had smoked for over 40 years, been in this house for around 15ish years or so.... and sorry to say, I ain't getting any younger..... washing the walls was almost like painting....except it smelled so much better than paint.....lol

I dumped the outside .... can early on after quitting, so it didn't bother me much at the time. A week or so later I put something else into the same trash can and when I opened the lid of the can, the smell that wafted up was AWFUL! Now, I can smell smokers, too. It's not a pleasant smell by any means, but it also doesn't bother me much and I don't mind if people smoke around me. I guess I'm not going to be one of the 'reformed smokers' that can't tolerate the smell of analogs.

On the plus side, I have an herb garden that I used to have to pick a leaf and crush it in my fingers to smell the herb, and now all I have to do is walk through the garden and I can smell the herbs as I brush past them. THAT is cool!
