Ok, so I'm new to this whole vaping scene... But I gotta tell you, I'm hooked. I think I'm boarder line passionate about vaping! I love it!!! I've been a pack a day smoker for 22 years. I picked up an ecig on Friday afternoon, it's now Sunday night. I haven't even wanted to smoke a cigarette in three days. It blows my mind that vaping hasn't expoded in popularity. And why any one would ever want to put kibash on it beyond me. I literally want to push it on every smoker I know. Every smoker on the planet should kick the butts and embrace the vape!!! Seriously, how has this eluded me for so long?!?!?! It's been long time since I've been this excited about something. That in speaks volumes to me. I can't wait to emerse myself in everything there is to know about "vaping" and share it with as many people as possible!

Popularity is exponential. In the last few months I've seen hundreds, if not thousands, of folks around town vaping. Welcome to the vaping community, there is a lot of exciting thing to learn - from finding the right flavors for you, to crazy rebuildable stuff you'll soon discover.
I feel the same way. I have been vaping for two weeks now. I quit cold turkey about four years ago for a little bit and it was horrible. This time it has been a breeze. I wish someone pushed me onto this sooner. I already have a handful of friends switching over.
It kills me how there are people trying to outlaw and/or regulate this stuff beyond necessary means. I feel like they just want to tax the crap out of it like they do smokes, as some states will start losing a lot of income from people switching over. I am still learning about this stuff though so I may be off base, thats just what I think right now.

welcome to ecf and to vaping. i can tell you are excited about your experience...i still am too. i use my excitement to convert smokers. i even share my equipment if the person is serious. happy you gave up the stinkies. encouraging new folks here also helps you and them....so put your accomplishment to good use. enjoy your vape.
Money is the biggest reason various locations try to ban or over regulate it but, the other problem is lack of public education and the fact that vaping has not been around long enough to have the 20 and 30 year studies some groups think it needs to decide if it's safe, if it can help you quit smoking, etc... That and a few biased, poorly done studies are hurting us.

Hello and welcome, my experience so far has been the same as yours =)!
I've been careful not to push it on anyone though! Of my "smoker pals" about half seems interested and half think it's weird and make some crappy comments. I just tell them that it's been a miracle for me that I actually enjoy and if they decide to try it I can give them all the info they need.

Just about everyone on here and Vapers the world over have felt or feel those exact same sentiments. Not to de-value your feelings in any way; just saying that its those types of feelings that keep us all tobacco free and happily vaping. You are well on your way and in the right place.

Been vaping for 2 months now... feel great! I love that there is a new culture emerging from ecigs. It captures our addiction and transforms it into an awesome hobby. I work in I.T. and tinkering with PCs... vaping allows me to do that too!
Wandawag, I dig the running tally! Good for you! That's actually kinda crazy... Saved a nice little wad of cash!!! But almost 10,000 butts... That's insane. Picture all those cigs in a pile on your kitchen table... Gross. Keep it up! I hope I share that kind of success!

The vaping community is one of the BEST, most tight knit, supportive and informative groups I've ever seen on the internet. You guys and gals rock.
It totally blows my mind too!!! I've been vaping for a week after smoking analogs for 35 years. I can't believe it... 35 years. I sure do wish I'd found this earlier. Like many I tried and tried to quit, obviously no luck during all that time. I don't even know anyone in my circle of family or friends who even smoke anymore. The ones that did, quit without ecigs. More power to them - I can't say I didn't try. I'd quit for a time but then find myself walking into the store like a robot to buy more, all the while screaming in my mind "don't do it!" But I did. I'd go another 5 years without getting that motivation to quit again. Only to quit and start again and feel like such a failure. My 21 year old son suggested ecigs but I didn't know enough about them, I imagined it as some sorry replacement that tasted like crap but at least you got a nic fix. My son said "No, Mom, you get flavors, they taste better than cigarettes, it's like a cool subculture out there." I thought well, maybe for the 20 somethings, but I'm 55 years old. Well, to make a long story short I had my first vaping experience a week ago and I was in awe. Still am. It was like a light shone down on my head and there was a big "ding!" YES! This is it! It has totally blown my mind. I'm right there with you.
