Congrats on finding what worked for you! I gave away my remaining pack of cigarettes after my first puff on my 510. Easiest quit I ever did, my breathing is better, no gurgling or crackling on exhale, I don't stink, and it's like the old days: a vape tastes delicious with coffee and other foods! 4 months without a smoke and don't care for'em!

Four days in: Today for the first time I was actually able to enjoy the flavored juice I was vaping. My taste buds/sense of smell seem to be returning! :)

Well done. I'm at 20 days now and the sense of smell is back and strong. I passed a collegue at work today on a stairwell just after he had been for a smoke, the smell of stale smoke was overpowering and I had never noticed it before. Cannot believe I probably walked around like that for 15 years! No going back now!

Well you sure as hell ain't alone there buddy! -- I myself, was a heavy smoker for well over 40 years. -- I had virtually resigned myself to giving up any hope of ever being able to quit smoking. Depression was a heavy dark cloud hanging over me every day about it for years!

When I stumbled onto "Vaping" last September.... it was almost like I had been granted reprieve from a death sentence!

Totally unexpected!! And the most exciting (but humbling) re-awakening I can remember. Brings a lump to my throat..and a tear to the eye just thinking about it

Same here - it's been a Godsend - I thought I was going to be looking at an oxygen tent....

35 years 1 1/2 pack a day, got on e-cigs first of October - immediately went to about 1-2 analogs a day - not sure why either - but it's on the drive to work and then again on the drive home - analogs still taste nasty, and I immediately want my e-cig again. But for sure, I feel I have mastered the nasty cancer stick - I know I CAN do without them now.... tried so many times to quit them in the past (hypnosis, patches, gum, Chantix, etc.. and nothing worked until the e-cig) LONG LIVE THE E-CIG!!!!! and thanks so much for this wonderful forum!!!:)

First post but echo all the sentiment in this thread. Had to order from the US as despite New Zealands oft-quoted positive study e cigarette with nic are illegal to sell. Gave up smokes (24 years pack a day on the 12th Jan) and was really struggling/missing/desperate for my evil (but stranglely comforting friends). Got my kit two days ago and now am wondering what the hell I was fussing about. I realise it has variable effects for everyone but for me I actually like it more than the real? thing. Trying hard not to become the poster boy for vaping at work but already many friends and colleagues have come to find out more and try it. The reactions are classic............I still recommend to them all to come here and surf the net for as much info as they can (positives and negatives). Up to them really. Soooo...........just a whatsup to all and I am one happy camper.

The appears to be no denying that for long time smokers that wish to quit this device is the ticket! I've been smoke free for almost 5 days "a few more hours today to get there" and If I have the urge I just hit my Vap and I'm fine. I know that this may not be the best way out, but heck how can anyone deny that this isn't safer then Tabacco and I don't have to pay those high prices and taxes to the gov. Kinda feels good to stick it to the man.... LOL

Amazing to see all the positive feedback on this forum. I never knew how common all the symptoms of smoking analogs are. I was a 36-year smoker until last week. Bought the mall cigarette, got a Janty eGo a few days later, and have a Juice Box coming. It took 4 days of combining vaping and analogs (I'm a slower learner than most), but today is day 8 without an analog and no desire for one. Here are some of my observations:
Food has taste! My morning coffee has taste! My breathing is already easier. Smells smell! Smokers stink! I love not being chained to a "smoking schedule". The juice flavors are great. The guilt I built up for years about smoking is gone....I could go on and on, but you get the idea...
You people on this forum are wonderful.

Another 25 yr 1 1/2 pack a day analog junkie here. Got my M401 kit and accessories yesterday and I feel like I've finally found a way out. I've had two analogs in 24 hrs and I think I mostly hit them because I was afraid I would start jonesing and wanted to head it off at the pass.

My batts & atts are performing marvelously and THANKS to this great forum the learning curve has been minimal and every hit has been consistent & satisfying so far.

What a gift...I think this is it! Peace Y'all!

I smoked analogs for 40 plus years, rarely over a pack a day, and I have quite several times including a 4 year hiatus that ended last summer when I thought just one won't hurt. I truly gave up at that point, I was just gonna smoke till it killed me, I was going to stop worrying about it. Then I discovered this forum, and I bought a starter kit and some juice. Now I'm sitting here at my computer in the house vaping. Darn that's nice I haven't "smoked" inside for years! I wake up in the morning and have a vap sitting in my easy chair having my morning coffee, not outside in the cold! One of my favorite things now, at night doing what I'm doing right now, reading this forum and vaping. I think the positive attitude and support this place gives are as important as the Ecig itself is. I don't think the patch the pill or the gum has a forum with such good folks..

I can relate to what all of you are saying. I had resigned myself that I was not going to be able to quit. I don't even remember how I stumbled onto the info for PVs but I am sure glad I did. Wasn't sure it would work either but it has. I notice the smell on others now and was afraid if I was around smokers I would want one but it hasn't happened. Yay, vape on!
