I posted last night in the General Forum concerning my search for a US supplier since the Blu cigs that I had ordered back on the 23rd are still another 7-10 days from being processed. And I am impatient. Thanks to those that replied-- unfortunately though the posts went poof before I was able to check out the suppliers recommended.

This morning I read some more reviews on here, and decided to go ahead and also order the 901.

I also purchased some liquid, so I have a question on carts -- can carts be refilled ahead of time and carried around -- or do they leak all over if you do that?

Thanks,
Erised

Heh, your in the exact same boat as me now.
Yes you can refill a bunch of them for on the go if you want, but a lot of people recommend just taking an empty cart and some liquid, and just dripping as you need it.
Its not that big of a hassle, just pop off a cart, drop 2-3 drops on the atty, pop the cart back on, and puff away for about a cigarettes worth.
If you really need to fill a few up, you can do so and they SHOULDNT leak at all, if they do then you should invest in something to cover up both ends of the carts, or maybe your overfilling them.

I really think the blu is going to blow in comparison to the 901, but we'll see.
Its definitely the smallest e cig and closest to a real cig size, but that generally means it wont perform as good as larger ones.

I do believe you blu should ship today, as you may recall mine was ordered on the 22nd and shipped about 4PM yesterday.
The tracking number confirms that USPS has it, and its on its way and will probably be here wednesday/thursday.
You could expect to have yours next week at the latest.
Keep checking back at the blu site to see if its shipped or not.

Where did you get your 901 from?
I ordered mine from myfreedomsmokes because its only 1 state over and it will hopefully be here within the hour:rolleyes:

Thanks for the info Spitfire! I am worried about the refilling hassle while at work -- I never bother with breaks or lunches, I just pop outside for a couple of quick draws on a cig when I get a moment, and I want to make sure that vaping doesn't end up with me spending more time on it, as I am hopeful to get company acceptance for not only the increased health benefits of e-cigs, but also on the decrease of down time from associates.
I ordered my 901 from esmokeyshack -- I saw in the Suppliers Forum here that they were running a special. I got the 901 w 2 batteries, 1 atty, 5 cartridges, charger, and then I ordered an extra atty and a couple of bottles of juice to go with it -- with shipping it came out under $64.00.
I checked the Blu site -- still says "pending" for my order.

Thats not a bad price at all.
myfreedomsmokes was having a sale, I ended up with 2 attys, 2 batts, 5 blank carts and 1 usb charger for $43 including shipping, great deal.
Im sure if i bought a few liquid bottles it would be right around the price you payed.
Iv now spent another $60 or more on juices, so I actually need to get those in before I can use the 901 lol.

I called blus customer service sunday, and they told me it would be a full week before my order was processed, and then it shipped the next day.
I dont know where they got that info from, maybe it will be a full week before it ships but im glad it finally got out of their hands lol.

Ill let you know the day mine comes in, so you can estimate when yours will come in.
Granted your shipping will take a little bit longer, theyre in North Carolina so Im only like 1 state over.

But yeah it should be good for you at work, I would bring in some documentation to show your boss(es) and prove your not just blowing steam.
Another thing you should check up on is a USB passthrough, if you work at a computer.
The passthrough IS your battery, but instead of needing to charge you need to have it plugged in, and theres no worry about them dying randomly.

I have both the blu and a 901. The 901 is much better than the blu. You get better flavor throat hit and battery life from the 901 also the parts are much easier to find. The blu is novel, i mean i love the charging case and the size is that to a cowboy killer (Marlboro red).
With the blu I can basically vape one cart in a sitting and the vapor comes and goes. I keep the blu in my truck for quick hits here and there but if I want to really go to town i always trust my 901. Your question about carts, I have a pill sorter that I keep filled carts in. I have not really had much leakage if you keep the rubber cap under the plastic one. I keep my juice in a zip lock when I am out and about.

Please do post when you get yours Spitfire. I am thinking that I just missed the cutoff of what stock they managed to get in.
I am actually one of the bosses, LOL -- But if these work (and I have really high hopes that they will from everything I have read on this board) I am hoping to convince our corporate that e-cigs should be allowed in the work place (well, at least in manager's offices and in the break room!). I have told everyone at work about e-cigs, and every smoker there is waiting for me to get my order in and try them.
I am planning on getting a passthrough -- It seems I never get a minute to sit down at work, but I want one for at home, as I also own my own business that requires a lot of computer time. I also have the Screwdriver model on my wish list already -- from everything I have read it sounds like my ideal vaping device -- the only drawback is that it is pretty masculine looking -- and I could never in a million years envision myself vaping one in public. Actually, the 901 I think, with it's flattened mouthpiece is a bit masculine (reminds me of a cigar) so I am planning on that model being my "behind closed doors" at home e-cig.

Thanks Gotthelife4u -- I LOVE the pill sorter idea!!! I have one around here somewhere that I am going to have to dig out and put to use now.:D

I was really wanting an SD as well, until I read some of the other reviews of other things.

Right now I think im going to compromise and go with the half-as-cheap Janty Stick.

The features are what has me sold on it, uses regular batteries that are $1 each at any store, has a usb cable so the body of it IS a passthrough, you can even smoke it WHILE the battery is charging and thats very new.

It provides a really good amount of vapor, maybe a small amount less than the SD, but for half the price you cant go wrong.

I initially didnt want a marker looking e-cig like the janty stick, but I think iv gotten around asthetic appeal and I really want a top performing one.
I wouldnt use it outside either, it would stay in my home and the DSE901 would be my outgoing e cig(or the blu if i happen to like it better for any reason)

The Janty Stick does not use "regular batteries that are $1 each at any store".

The janty Stick uses a rechargeable lithium battery that is the same size as an AAA sized battery but AAA batteries do not have enough voltage to run the stick.

Trust me when I say that after you've been vaping for awhile, you'll care less and less about what something looks like . . . it's going to ALL be about what works best. :)

With that said, the Screwdriver isn't really as masculine looking as you might think. It's surprisingly small. When I hold it to vape, you can't see much of anything other than the atomizer itself. To have some fun and spice things up a bit, I use various colors of 901 atomizers. Right now, I'm sporting a pink atomizer. :D Definitely makes it look a bit more feminine. ;)

My first e-cig was a Dura (510), and I initially was embarrassed to vape in public. I "stealth vaped" so that if anyone saw anything, it looked like I was sucking on a small pen.

I'm now in my 5th month of vaping, and I go out and about with my Screwdriver, not really at all self-conscious about what people might be thinking. Frankly, most people are notoriously unobservant. And when people do ask, I tell them that it's a personal vaporizer, the only thing that's ever worked to keep me off of tobacco and cigarettes. When you put it that way, most people are very supportive . . . and intrigued. ;)

If that is how you feel then you should upgrade to a Janty Stick...

I would say the performance is better than the SD (vapor-both amount and density, Throat hit--more intense) at this point with the possible exception of being able to taste my flavors more with the SD.

Well I got my blu this morning.
It doesnt seem that bad, but the DSE901s are charging so I dont have much to compare it to lol.
It produced more vapor than an analog does smoke, I did a hit-for-hit comparison with my last analog.
Im enjoying it so far, but I havent gotten the chance to try others so im really just comparing it to an analog.

If the 901s work better for me I was going to send the blu back, but if they dont honor the guarantee than i would be better off keeping it..
I think im going for the Janty Stick next.

And yes, DW, I did realize after reading the website a bit more that its an Mah battery, but I understand you can still find these for really cheap in some stores, so the point remains (almost) the same.

Im not entirely convinced that its a better unit than the SD, but the ability to use it as a passthrough without extra equipment has me sold.
