I lost one 510 then an atty fried on another, so I tried the blu atty and cart on the 510 so I could use the manual battery, not baaadddd. seems like a little less vapor and less batt life but it makes the unit smaller and will hold me over until I get my order in. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is in the same pickle :)

Yes Blu and the 510 parts are interchangeable. I sometimes burn through my 510 batteries when out (still have not gotten its PCC) and will use a Blu battery with a 510 Atty, lots better vapor than a Blu atty.

    Somewhere between here and there
I ordered a 510joye and was thinking about ordering a blue when they are available. I posted a thread about a week ago asking if the blu and 510 parts are the same and someone said they were not. Do you know if the blu carts will fit the 510 like the batts and atts that you spoke of?

the carts are the only thing not interchangeable and while the threads are the same, the charger's should not be interchanged. The blinking light code goes all screwy so something is not right.

    Away..
Blu's battery is tip negative while the Janty Dura C , Mini Fogger, 501 are tip positive.
I checked mine with a meter. Can be bad news on the circuitry if you start swapping them in others chargers. Another thing to consider is the charging rate since Blu is smaller than the others mentioned. Charging to fast shortens battery life. A good circuit design should prevent damage with a simple diode if conected in reverse. As cheap as these units are, I wouldn't bet my stuff on it.

Blu has a nice little PCC that recharges 6 batteries before recharging the unit. A DPDT micro slide switch could be added so in one position it charged Blu normally and when switched it would reverse the power to the connector for the others that are tip positive. Could be done for about $3 in parts. The Dura, Fogger and 510 battery is a little larger so I'd expect no more than 4 recharges with them. I doubt the lid would close for charging as they are a little longer.

Even simpler would be to mount an atty thread in the case with the wires tapped into the Blu circuits output with that connector tip positive. No accidental "forgot to switch".

    Just thinking out loud.........

    Away..
    On the atty issue........
Blu's coil measures 3.4ohms and the Jantys I have are 3.0 ohms
The Jantys will get hotter, making more fog, at the expense of a little more current demand. But, they have a larger battery. So its not an issue. If using the Blu battery with the Janty atty, it will have a shorter usage time.
I love the C's manual switch and its now my daily unit. Blu is still holds a place for the special treat flavors I like to make.
