I have been less than pleased with blucigs.com. I received the blu premium 100 starter kit a couple weeks ago. When I first got the kit (only for the first day and a half) I would have given the kit a 7 or 8 out of 10. The kit started off giving very good vapor, the batteries were lasting the time they said they would, and the cartomizers seemed to be lasting the claimed amount of puffs (keep in mind I was a 2-pack-a-day smoker).

After the day and a half had passed, one of the batteries started to give me trouble (the premium 100 batteries are supposed to last approximately 100 puffs before needing a recharge). The battery started lasting less than half of the time is was supposed to and then would just die right after charging. The other battery works fine.

I got through the pack of supplied cartomizers that came with the started package and they were fair/good. When I went through the 5 packs of cartomizers I purchased on a seperate order, they were all over the place with how long they lasted. One cartomizer only gave vapor for just about 100 puffs/1 battery charge when they are supposed to last 350 puff (approx.). In short -- there were 4 out of a total of 25 cartomizers that lasted anywhere near where they should've.

I know the battery is covered under warranty and they are taking care of that, but it is frustrating when things do not work when you expect them to. I still do not have any answer/solution about the cartomizers. They sent me an email about what to do with the cartomizers (like storing them atty side down, tapping the L.E.D. side on my hand when the cartomizer is connected, and spinning them between my palms). Now I am going back and forth with them for a solution and nothing after 8 business days. If there is nothing in the cartos I could practically eat them and have nothing happen.

We all make mistakes -- like buying Blu, but we learn. I would now rate BLU as a 3.

*I have bought a few different kits and will review them after a few weeks. Since I haven't received the other kits or finished my mod yet, I was lucky enough to find that a few of my friends had some other brands. Now I know my review of blu is fair because I had 2 different brands to compare blu to.

I'm a dedicated vaper, but I'm a low tech, buy-off-the-shelf kinda guy so far. I use N-Joy traditional 1.8 as my main e-cig (LOVE the flavor), but I picked up some Blu cartomizers which fit (sort of) on the battery of the "21st Century Smoke", and I noticed with the Blu there is a LOT of vapor - TONS - MASSIVE amounts - and though I wasn't crazy about the flavor at first it's growing on me (Trad. tobacco).

I can't tell you about the Blu battery because I didn't buy the kit ($70)...yet...but prob'ly will because although the first Blu cartomizer I tried fit well, but none of the others have - I probably wore down the threads.

I know I need to upgrade to a mod, but haven't had the time to do it, and I'm VERY happy with the N-Joy, except I'm spending too much $$ on them.

But as far as amount of vapor and flavor - I like the Blu.

I have two Blu kits and if the batteries were better, it would be okay. The one thing I really like about Blu is the Cherry Crush cartridges. They are just plain delicious.

I have upgraded to a KGO and I hope I can find cherry juice comparable to the Cherry Crush. (Blu got me off analogs, so I don't want to disparage them too much, but I wouldn't recommend them, either)

Envizion - Nice review! I haven't seen too many positive reviews of the Blu. You would think they would rework their product to make it better. Sounds like you have some good solutions in mind though. Good luck!

Thanks. I didn't see the credible reviews, the ones on ecf, until after the fact... ugh. I wish they would make their product better. I go my solutions to my blu problem: the Joy eGo! I am very satisfied with it. Thanks again!

To the OP, did you clean the batteries with alcohol at all yet? I thought I had a bad one too but as it turns out didn't. I too would be interested in it if you wanted to part with it. I like that everything is interchangeable with the 510 (EXCEPT the BATTERY CHARGERS). I often use the blu carts on my 510 batt while at home and visa versa (yes the atomizer although slightly bigger will fit and honestly works a little better on the blu battery than my current 510 batts). I have to say I do love the traditional tobacco flavor and JC domestic comes pretty close. Sorry you're not having luck with yours.

Blu uses Johnson creek juices so you can buy a bottle of Johnson creek cherry crush and some boge carts for you kgo and you'll be good to o

Ok I've used the Blu off and on now for about the past month, and am not that impressed - it's just "OK". The ONLY flavor I can stand is the "tobacco" flavor, and even it seems a bit "weak".

The (regular) batteries have worked fine, but the taste of Blu just really doesn't cut it for me. I use N-Joy as my main e-cig (so far). I plan to upgrade to a mod of some sort eventually.

Thanks for your input, I did clean the batteries every night while I had it. As far as parting with it, I gave it to my sister (she hated them and we just got rid of them).

I had the same experience well over a year ago. To be fair the Blu's biggest problem is that it performs like it should as a micro e-cig, yet they claim it performs like a mod. If they would just be honest about the thing I'm sure plenty of people would use it just because of its very small and very slick appearance.

EXACTLY correct. They can work but you simply cannot believe the claims Blu, makes as to battery life or cartridge life. I didn't believe them when I got my first kit so I had no letdowns. The look and size (be able to hold in mouth, vape, and use both hands for something work related) is what got me on them.

To the OP I'm sorry they did not work for you. I hate also you wasted "got rid of them" I know several folks that could had used them to at least "help" stop.

Cherry crush is blu exclusive JC doesn't sell it separately or by the bottle...only through blu cartos..which is really sad.

I use the Blu and love it as well! I do agree that the carts from Blu are not cheap. All the reviews I have went over, it sounds like the heavy somkers are the people complaning about this product. I would recommend if your a heavy somker the Joye 510 which my boss has and he loves it. So I guess it all depends on how bad your habit was.
